it's about time someone shook off the effects of TH's nepenthe, administered by his post. I suppose it is understandable, considering the drastic lack of attention we get the rest of the time from the game bigwigs.

All you who have praise TH for doing his job by FINALLY responding need to listen to yourselves. you speak as if we were a viable class, having been fixed by him telling us things we already knew and things we've already heard.

this post was not meant to be inflammatory, but it turned out that way. maybe when there's no reason for DEs to be bitter, my posts won't always end up this way.

I understand everyone's bitterness at having been spoon-fed the same sort of "We're excited with the changes coming up" responses when those changes never come, or are pathetic at best.

I believe Vampiric_Hoshireally said it best in describing what we need. We're not content being told that it's being "worked on". Not only have we been told that time and time again (with no real results), but it's also tactically a bad move. Honestly, developers may know code, but no one knows the realistic translation of that code better than we do. They may have made the class, but we Live the class. We need to know what the plans are before they are coded.....that way we can offer our suggestions beforehand.

If the ideas are coded without us knowing, then they could work, yes. Or, they could be terrible. They could be completely out-of-touch with what we really need, or worse, they could come out bugged and ultimately detrimental. It's far better to tell us, "Hey, this is what we want to do. What do you think?" You did that with the previous plan (basic ideas, really), and we gave you input. Maybe that was helpful, maybe it wasn't. But at least you're more aware of how things are. Do that with whatever plans you're doing, and hopefully we'll all get through this in a positive way.

I agree Oss. I think its suprising how soon people forget they're hungry after beinggiven a single french fry.

In a week they'll remember again and get tossed another fry. Its the same old thing. Perhaps after 3 or 4 months we'll be to enjoy the whole meal.

First off, no need to appologize, as many have already said. You just said what most of us already felt, but you managed to put some decent power behind it.

Secondly, it will be a sad day when you resign. Personally, I would like to have you stay indefinitely, but alas, that's not up to me.

I'm sure we will all miss you if/when you leave, myself included. You've done an awesome job, and whomever takes your position has their work cut out for them.

If you don't mind, I will refuse to say anything that remotely looks like a goodbye until you are actually leaving. Until that happens, you will continue to be THE MDE, and we will keep looking to you for advice, guidance, support, and a united voice.

Love and Peace,
