Thread: How about some Pit Droids? Wouldn't you like to repair that (Disabled) AV-21 vehicle?

Do get the Devs to like the idea of a vehicle repair droid, we can't just divert the money from the garages into our pockets. And every advantage of the Pit Droid MUST have a even greater disadvantage, else the player would get "more checkers".
So I would suggest the following:
1. The droid is (obviously) crafted by a DE and has 5 Charges (the resources mentioned above are looking good for me). One charge can repair between 150 and 300 points, depending on the quality of the droid. I guess a price of 5000 credits for a droid with 5 charges would be approbiate.
2. The actual repair process of the vehicle, executed by the Pit Droid, also must cost some money. I would suggest the double of the normal garage fees. In my opinion this is very important to get the approval of the devs for the whole concept of a vehicle repair droid. This money would vanish in the black hole called "money sink".
3. Every repair by a Pit Droid would decrease the maximum condition of the vehicle by 2%.
4. If the vehicle is disabled at the beginning of the repair process, the maximum condition should be decreased by a higher amount, maybe 5%.
5. If the maximum condition reaches zero, the vehicle is permanently destroyed.
I can see that my proposal will limit the sales of Pit Droids, but in my opinion they will still be usefull enough to be wanted by quite a few people.
Granted, garages will still be cheaper and healthier for the vehicles, but I dont think we should take away (almost) all of the functionality of the garages to get a product.
Just my two 0.2 credits.

Still don't know if Disabled on vehicles is intended to be permanent, but I suspect it is.
The new PvP target is going to be counting coup by blowing up somebody's AV-21...

Not only functional, but added SW immersion. Not sure if I'd make them disposable. I'd make them normal pets with an accelerated battery consumption rate, or perhaps they require one additional battery/repair.

didn't feel like reading four pages to slap me if someone said it already...... but wouldn't it be a good compromise if you could only repair a disabled vehicle at a garage with this droid?
thus the need to use both garage and pit droid
honestly i think just the ability to repair disabled vehicles is what would sell this droid

I would LOVE this idea for disabled vehicles.
Mainly because tonight my AV21 was destroyed by a mouse droid.
It literally went from 95% condition to 0% in a split second. Weeks of looking for the av21 + millions of credits down the drain after having it for TWO FREAKIN DAYS!
it pissed me off so much i just closed the game down right after that area , i couldn't play it, i spent all my time getting that vehicle and it was gone because of some little damn bomb droid from a guy who didn't even get to kill me.

Yes, I'd like to see this implemented. Even if you made it in such a way that the Pit Droid would have to be used at a garage, and could only repair vehicles from disabled status to regular status that could then be repaired by the garage.

I like the idea. Makes this look more like SW.
