I am new to being a MDE for a couple months now. I like the profession, but want more as I'm sure we all do. I'm very disapointed to see this "Droid Invasion" patch come out. I'm not quite sure I understand the thinking of Sony on this one, because one would expect a new model or two to call an entire "themed patch" by that name. It doesn't make sense to me. I have only had 1 request for a combat droid, and I refused to make it. I think R models that can fight is just plain stupid. I had set up a merchant tent to sell nothing but combat droids, but I will be taking the tent down tonight. I hate flaming posts, but this is ridiculous.
On a side note the patch isn't a total loss. We have the vertical movement aspect as well as being able to call pets, droids, and most importantly vehicles out. I mean maybe I can curb the dissapointment of the droid invasion with the fact that when I'm 7000m from anywhere killing something, and my bike stores for no good reason, I don't have to run to the nearest town, wondering how I ever put up with entire afternoons spent doing extractor runs before vehicles came out.
AND
My final thought. If there are droideka on Lok, how hard could it be to make it a craftable droid for everyone, even if it's a bloody CL10?

I liked Droid Stimpacks seemingly in preperation for things to come (hopefully for you guys). But, after 9 months as a M.DE, when I saw that the Probot in my datapad, which was close to useless already, had it's armor removed (as did all the Probot deeds on my vendor) I dropped DE. They can't even make positive changes without screwing something up. I certainly didn't see another Probot nerf listed anywhere in the patch notes, thanks Sony.

Once the initial rush of Droid-Mania wears off, droids will sell just like they ever have. We will just be charging a bit more since its costs more for us to make them now. I like the enhancements like the stims and other miscellaneous stuff. I will reserve overall judgement until Pub8 comes out.

As far as droids go, the armor nerf is gonna kill em...so what if they upped the HAM, in PvE, they're lasting as long as they used to with the 40% medium armor and lower HAMs. And I've yet to see a droid kill anything over durni-size....

where's number 10 in list?
what a bunch of crap.
Sales of droid's aren't great as it is, and this will just drop sales even further.
We didn't even get a new chassis, **edit** was that droid in the new's letter ! I don't see it in my datapad........................
my vote is number 10 (i know it's 1-5)

1. It's a good step forward. I give the developers props for trying.. All you whiners are just going to make them NOT DO ANY MORE DEV on the DE profession. So thanks for pissing the devs off and ruining further development efforts for the DE.
