Thread: Pre-Publish 18 Droid Deed Warning
Ok, so just to be sure I'm understanding all these changes to droids...
My Advanced Probot, which I paid 30k to have built prior to Publish 6, is completely useless to me?
Up until today I was proud that my Rrawr (probot) had 3185 HAM and was CL 18. He wasn't great, but he was certainly better than the probot I had built after Publish 7 (800 HAM). He was my hunting partner when I had trouble finding a group. So now he's nothing more than a stain in my datapad that I have to destroy so I can replace it with another one?
Nah! I want my 30k back then. I don't think it's fair that SWG can take things like this away from people who work hard to aquire them. It's wrong to just say "Too bad for you. We're making that item useless now and you'll have to replace it on your own." No, they need to start replacing these items when they change them.
This is why I don't own any Sony products in my home.
With all due respect would you like some cheese with your wine?
30k?
I had over a 100 deeds go bad, read the terms of service. Its states clearly that they can and will screw you at anytime. There are armorsmiths and weaponsmiths who lost gagillions of dollars with revamp.
Your crying over three missions?
come on

Please read where it says this is a BUG - not a nerf.

Any droid you've had since publish 6 you have more than gotten your money out of. Droids aren't supposed to last you forever, if they were you would have paid 30 million for it.

Well, last week I was still getting post CU respecs, so I decided to drop Master DE, and pick up Master TKA (still a Master Shipwright). Before I dropped DE though, I whipped up a bunch of various droid configurations and left them standing around my house for both storage and decoration. One of the droids I made was an LE Repair Droid w/3 combat modules & 2 lvl 4 armor modules, and a sarcastic personality chip. I figured that it would be good for comic relief, if nothing else.
After pub 18, the probot that I had in my datapad already converted OK, so today I figured that I'd give the LE a try. I deleted one of my (empty) storage droids and generated the LE, and it is totally borked. It's CL20, which I could live with, but it's got all the other problems, no attack, etc. This deed wasn't on a vendor, it was standing up inside my house.
Of course I bugged it, but we all know how much good that does. Anyway, droids crafted since the pub are coming out OK? I may just have to get somebody to craft me a new one.
Yep all my combat droids made since the upgrade have worked as *intended*.
1. Droid Engineer character created and then activated a combat/harvester droid (level 30) which can defend her Level 1 weakness from most critters below its own level as long as they are not grouped (she doesnt have any combat abilities herself).
2. Bio Engineer character grabbed a combat/medic droid (level 30) that had been dropped into the crafting house and that seems to be working fine.
3. Pilot/Unknown combat character grabbed a combat/scout droid (level 30) which has been known to defeat level 22s even while in a group.
All of these droids contained a single combat module and a single level 4 armor module. No need to have any more until they fix the problems in that area.
