Straker, thanks for the thought. I have more resources by now than I know what to do with. Yes I could sell BLL's in that format, but I don't like to sell a droid thats over specification much, especially to the poor ignorant buyers out there. If you can..then do..it's up to you hun. Customer happy is my key thought.
An R5 will do as a med droid or barker. Even an R2 if pushed, but that BLL needs some love. That said I'm quite happy to go along with TK's question.
So, I don't 'get you wrong' but I do know what I'm doing

Shian,
I was pressing for awhile to see BLLs be the 'loaders' for ship storage. It makes perfect sense to me to apply item storage bonus to that situation.
Since droids are quite 'situational', it just seemed obvious to think about gameplay situations that would call for BLLs to step up an have a need.
I was thinking a Item Storage 'buffed' BLL would be require, perhaps, by Smugglers to load items into special ship areas, etc.
It became clear that we'll have to wait until at least JTL beta, and maybe after, to start to really focus on how droids can/will tie to ship use...but this gives you the type of direction that a few veteran DEs and I have been thinking.

The 'vets' I usually run stuff by are people like Drashk or others that I happen to see are on. Don't feel weird that I didn't run stuff by you....I work with any DE that I happen to see at the time.
Some of the discussions I have with DEs are done in a more clandestine way (i.e. using a 'secret alt'), so that I can get more objective info and comments.

Yup.....clandestine info-gathering is sometimes a far better way to gauge where the DEs are 'at'.

Well, I thought I'd throw in my two cents here. My feelings on your examples TK:
1) Conversational Droid Fixes(naming):
/agree with what you said. This is not a need it is a want. Changing this will not have any effect on droid sales. I would like to see
it in the future.
2) Conversational Droid Fixes (storage modules):
Again agree with the above. This issue is not necessary for our 19 answers question but could be in our Top 5 because fixing this could modestly help sales.
3) More chassis specific bonuses:
Interesting concept but not sure what we can do with existing modules. The only thing i can think of is limiting the 110 med rating to a surgical droid which is a nerf not an enhancement. I'll think about it but probably not in my Top 5.
4) Making droid's more user friendly (i.e. better droid manual):
This is a big issue with some people and you came up witha good idea with the "Helper droid" concept. However, this is a HUGE pet peeve with me. Wheh I was a noob I read/posted inthe forums and used the knowledge base. I got all my questions answered and learned how to use a droid in this manner. I don't mind if a customer asks me questions about a droid but they should also be willing to take the frigging inititive and use the many tools that are already at their disposal.
I would consider using finite developer time on this issue a total waste and would have to constructively fight against it.
I was going to write my own personal Top 5 but I'll just wait for your thread on that so I don't repeat myself.

I clue them into the in-game Knowledgebase or forward them my info-packed email. One of those two things will address about 95% of the questions/issues that I get from users.

I agree with what you are saying there Gavvot. Thats why one of my top 5 issues is fixing the stats displayed on the droid deed.
Hopefully by doing that we can kill two birds with one stone.
I do oppose an in-game"droid manual" or walkthrough to explain the basic use of a droid or stats which could be hotfixed.

Ohh I was by no means saying that a BLL "should" be a medical droid, I one hundred percent want them to have a purpose, a role to fill. I was merely saying that it's a shame to not make this spectacular chasis at all. Yes it is overkill on a medical or barker droid. That is why I still have cheap surgical droids of lower models. Yet if somebody wants something big and impressive, they buy my BLL model.
Yes it's a shame that he is limited to eye candy. Better then not being made at all IMO though.
