Thread: Screenshots of the new Probot skin on TC.
Seriously though Drashk...when you talk to the devs about this, please use the phrase "sore thumb."
Everything in the game is beautifully rendered and looks real: from players, to stormtroopers, to jabba, to our droids.
Now they insert this piece of cartoonie crap, that sticks out like a sore thumb. It doesn't even look close to real. It is nothing but a spitting image of a probot.
I am constantly amazed at how bad devs can take simple requests (like take the CURRENT droideka model and turn it into a player pet) and screw it up...
- Humanoid droids STILL cannot be named... AT ALL
- Numbers can't be used in any droid names
- Repair modules don't work in LE Repair and Power chassis
- Colors don't stick when making advanced chassis - why are we even allowed to color static chassis... we're not in the g-**edit** furniture business
- Colors don't always stick on droids when customized
- Item storage modules STILL do not function in Surgical chassis (normalnor advanced)
- ... and many more
I'm just trying to approach things from a customers perspective... anyone who buys a droid MUST be on spice. ![]()
MMMmmmmm... muon. ![]()

^^^ Ackis, you represent the worst that can happen to DE's, and usually does: Spice addiction. Shooting up the pixie dust, whether as a means of esacpe from reality or to feed an addiction is never the answer.
Trying to expand your mind is good and all, but peace and love just doesn't exist in this galaxy anymore: the Emperor wiped out all the hippies like he did the jedi, and if you don't want to be on the end of an E-11 carbine, i suggest you get over this addiction and go onto something safer, like twi'lek harlots. Those STDs at least can't cross species.

If only the puking didn't rust my armor ![]()
Ugly!
Change it Back AND Add the Cool sounds they made from TESB. We ask for fixes we get Uglier Probots, thats becoming typical.
- My first instinct is to say, "Spend your time on the bugs not the art..." but as we know the art team is totally seperate, so it's nice we got some attention.
- That said, I think this is to give us a "taste" of what the new combat droids that have undoubtedly been designed already will look like - this is the base model in the line, so to speak. We can expect that any new combat droids are going to be in this "style".
- Personally, I'm witholding judgement until I see them in-game. The perspective seems a bit skewed in the pics, and I've noticed that very little can be judged with screenshots in SWG. It all depends on how it fits the flow of movement.
Not sure if this is the appropriate place, but if the art team is looking for suggestions :
- R3's could use an overhaul, especially in terms of color. Most colors look cheesy, and the amount of trim on the top deters from the package. They just really don't look good with very many hues, and that's our highest end "utility" droid - very popular. (This is all independent of the fact that customization iscurrently broken on R-units - they come out a different color each call).
- We need to be able to at least change the hue of Protocols. It was several months into play before many servers even got the proper metals for one, and when we did it was exciting for all of five minutes before we realized they all looked the same and we couldn't even name them. As Protocol droids are mostly a vanity item (and will be even more so once the socket module exploit is elimnated) because of their limited slots, and as one customer put it, "That's really dumb. The silver ones are already in the game [ticket droids]. Why can't we have them?"
- Droids need animations based on what they are doing. Ultimately this would include the discussed player animations when crafting and doing other things that currently have no animation (i.e. showing you actually crafting using the droid) but in the meantime an animation when we access the item panel (a panel opening) or repair another droid (a manipulator arm - as we so lovingly install already - actually comes out of the droid and points at the droid that needs repair) would help even more with droid intergration and "star warsyness". The animation when putting in batteries is great - I always look forward to it because it makes me feel like part of the "world", which isn't always the case in SWG. We need more things like that.

honestly the new skin sucks..
dont be mad at the jackass who redid the skin..
be mad that your $15 a month you pay, paid the lead who accually suggested this steaming pile of crap should even go to the test center..
but then agian, by the looks of the skin, it may have simply be STOLEN from the fridge at home, and then scanned into the game somehow... some 4 year old is going to be proud someday and your $15 a month can replace the crayons he didnt allready eat to make your next droid skin with.
