Thread: Share your Droid Shop pics here
Wow, some of you guys have really cool shops ![]()
Mine is pretty bland by comparison - small type 2, floorplan 2 corellian house. Of course I have droid chasis about, my crafting room looks like a workshop, and my front room is IMHO tastefully done - but it looks like a mom and pop shop compared to some of these Castles 'o Droids. Most of my sales are done out of a tent next to our city's shuttle port in a strip mall of tents
I'm not all that artistic, but I gave it a go.
My workshop normally looks like this:

Tonight I tried to turn my workshop into a more "in the spirit" locale:

Awesome "tree" Fizzy. If you are in a player city, have the local architect make you a streetlamp to put in the middle, giving you a "star" light on top of the R4..heh
As far as storage goes, yes my shop is practically full from all my decorations. I use a small house for storage (shared) and I use my input and output hoppers on my factory for a lot of storage as well, not to mention our city bank.
I use an R2 unit with Inventory 6 module to hold 10 crates of my most used droid components for crafting. and this droid also serves as a crafting station.
Imagine that!

Personally Im not 100% sure how he did it but, to get carriage returns you just copy the image to you desktop clipboard (ctrl c) then in the game you can program in paste (under options ---> controls ---> keymap ---> chat) then if you paste it in you will get this, but I couldnt get the backslashes to show up, the game automatically removed them from my sign.

Hope this helps
Yes, cut and paste from notepad or something simple - fonts and formatting will not copy.
Even TABs are screwying sometimes, and the ingame font is proportionally spaces, so you'll have to adjust if you use all spaces.
To use the back slash, type in TWO - \\ .
I figured this out editing the notes file you call up with /notepad.
This method is used many times with special characters that are used for formatting or programming. One is ignored, two means put this character into the text. Sometime a special character like & is used to signify 'process the next character literly'.
I don't know if there are any other special characters that don't show up or how you'd get them to show up. If anyone has cases of other characters that won't show up, please post them somewhere.
I have grand vision of a similar kind of shop....
Unfortunately I've maxed my small house out with just crafting material (and my suits of armour) and while I have a medium house deed ready to go I'm kinda holding out in case they give us a character transfer (I'm in the UK playing on Eclipse since launch) and so would rather not have to pack it all up again to transfer
My main issue however is I've always wanted to use the 'junked' droid you often see knocking around the DE trainers and in towns as house decoration ![]()
The frontporch of my house, I just love the view. The astromech-sign needs some reworking though:

The small entrance room:

An overview from a slightly different angle:

Since I don´t have a vendor on my own (our player city has a shopping center), the showroom's part of my main room:

My "technician droid" at my "repair desk":

A closer look at the forge:

And finally my assembly line, thanks again for the great inspiration (I don´t have a private crafting station yet, so I have a "Raw assembly droid" to do the "dirty work"

I had our architects make me most of the stuff without a name. The droid chassis in the "showroom" part carry the default names, and the "helper droids" have names like "TB-A2 Blacksmith droid" or "TA-S4 Assembly Droid". The chassis on the assembly line are called "Astromech Chassis Component", "Astromech Chassis" and "Astromech Droid". Of course, the R3 is not a component in making a R2, but with the clear dome it just looked like an unfinished R2 for me.
Ok I'll bite. This is def not as cool as the originla post, but house arrangements being what they are this is all I really want to put into my shop until a revamp. Some extra stuff here too; apologies.

I like all yours, and I like mine too I think it looks cool, I made it look kind of like a blend on nature and machine, with plants coming out of droids and stuff like that, but I dont know where to put up a picture of my shop.....well if someone knows how i can do it for free I will do so. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
Modified my tree a lil, added some lights (great suggestion) & a seating area.

Another fun thing we did was make all our vendors in my PA's bazaar say Merry Christmas in a different language. It's kind of nice to walk in & get greeted with a seasonal greeting like that.
Season's Greetings all ![]()
Great pics Zoppo! Love what you've done!
It's awesome to see the cool displays and signs you all have created! Thanks.
