Sintrosi - Keep up the good work.

I been using SOE since Beta 1 EQ. They will fix it. Just takes time. I how ever wish they would fix stuff in a matter of importance. There has been no major fixes for Droids as of yet. All out droids still seem usless. Just remember there is only one way to deal with SOE. SPEAK your MIND! IF you do not then they will take it as fixed and put it on the back burner! Trust me! I will say this we needa better backing from the Droid Engineers on these boards. We might cover 5% of the data base. Same posters day in and day out. We need more DE's to start agreeing instead of comming here and putting I DO NOT CARE all the time! Because they are the ones that will put stuff on back burners.

Anyways keep up the good work Sintrosi!!It will get worse before it gets any better.

the information is vague and it states that we are on the back burner to simmer. Know why? it takes more time to fix us so we will have to wait. So they are introducing more combat droids....when? what? how? where? Do you see anymore information then that? They asked us information yet they say they are doing something else.

To hear the CH's tell it the devs HATE the CH profession, that's why they nerf it to hell and back.

And yeah we're not getting love from the devs, but you know what? You hear the same bitching in almost every profession thread.

Meanwhile, bitching and expecting immediate responses has proven inneffective.

Did you know that part of the definition of "moron" is doing the same thing again and again while expecting differing results?

Now chances are most people in this forum aren't morons. So maybe instead of bitching in so unconstructive a manner we all hang on for a while until they're able to get to us, or we give up the profession and go tame rot mites or something.

it's a technical term referring to a specific set of characteristic actions - of which this is one.

I had a teacher in school. He spoke english (only) and was therefore perhaps ill-suited to teach in a school that was 96% asian. Unfortunately he had a mental block. Any time he tried to communicate with a student in his class who didn't speak english terribly well and failed to gain comprehension - he would just repeat his exact sentence over again,louder.

Now, the kids spoke a wide array of languages. But I've never known a native mandarin speaker to suddenly understand english because they're being yelled at.

The teacher wasn't a moron, but in that one aspect he fit the profile. And by us repeating the same thing over and over again we're doing the same thing. We have three paths forwards from every moment :

1) wait patiently for a time when DE's as a profession are fixed, not perfect, but at least playable. (for myself that would be now)

2) we can scream and yell and complain into the void (which the devs have proven to be *at present*) and hope that it has some effect, Though I don't see what possible effect this will have.

3) we can migrate to professions that we perceive as working (likely only to discover that is a misperception anyway)

But really - all of the being upset does nothing but feed upon itself and sour the game for us, when we could be at least trying to have fun instead.

That is not the definition of a moron. It's a trite, meaningless phrase probably coined by a management consultant trying to sell some work.

hmm sounds to me someone likes to take it up the you know where. Personally I think people have the right to complain about this. You're saying on be patient it doesnt help complaining, so do you think if we just shut up and dont say anything they will come to the rescue?

I think it is a good idea that Sintrosi is making her voice heard about the lack of communication. As for others that want to vent , in my opinion this is definatly the place.

As for another way to strike. I am using my one bug ticket to say " The droid profession is broken".

It sounds like you've made up your mind about how the DE class is going to be. My suggestion is to chill out. They gave us information, along with a special note stating they know we've been neglected alot. And as they said at the top of the post these changes are to be in the next update, if not shortly thereafter. So let down the defenses a bit and play the game. Being cynical of everything only leads to discontent and flaming. Try to keep things a bit more civil.

For what it's worth, Sintrosi, the fact that you have been in any measure proactive on this is worthy of thanks, let alone all the work you have actually done, which is by far and away more than some professions corrospondents. As a former DE, and hopefully a future DE, I applaud you for your hard work. I won't ask you to continue shouldering sucha heavy burden, only that should you decide to step away from the madness, that the DE profession get someone as dedicated to it as you.

I just love the fact that their reasons for nerfing the probot was that anyone could get them... Yet then they allow CH's to give pets that are stronger than the pre-nerf probot to ANYONE! Anyone who says that we don't have a right to complain about this IS A MORON.
