Re: Barker Droids.
I love my 3PO Barker Droid. It's the most effective advertising item in the whole game. Everyone knocks a barker droid, but it's so much more efficient.
Here are my Reasons:
1. Galactic Vendor Search is useful, but not all that. (only useful if you have a rare item or if you stock FS Crafting Ores)
2. I always /addignore any spammers I see. My ignore list is huge. Sometimes I do go to waypoints if of interest. And if they're advertising is not as good as they say, then /addignore they go.
3. I hate AFK Spammers. Especially when you know it's an ALT character just spamming away. At Nym's Spaceport, I'd purposely aggro the Nym thugs towards the AFK Spammer. One Fan Shot from a Nym's thug and that AFK spammer is hitting the cloner!
4. I like going to get waypoints from a Barker Droid. Because:
a. Waypoint is labeled and inserted into the datapad.
b. I know that the Merchant Tent/Mini-Mall would at least be stocked, and that _most_ of the time it's not a fly by night operation due to the enormous amount of skillpoints used to get the Barker Droid.
5. 3PO droids aren't spammy, and they are on a 30 second timer, and they don't spam spatial with idiocy.
6. It's better than advertising yourself. UGGGH. I never wear my Master Shipwright Tag... I did that once and deluge of tells came in... I usually wear a Novice Entertainer tag and people leave me alone....
So, I shop often at the 3PO advertisers, they've invested at least quite a few skills points in getting the droid, so most likely have well-stocked, and well organized vendors.

And it all comes down to that. My sales spike 3x within 24 hours of using the barker droid for 2-3 hours.
I usually pull out my barker droid if I'm going to be shopping for resources or going into a long crafting session. The only thing I wish the droids did was stay grouped, when you launch into space on your own spaceship. This would be awesome, as I can advertise while doing fun things up in space. (I'm a shipwright by the way...)

Hello, i respeced to MDE a while back and still am a bit lost. My current limit for the number of characters the droid can store is only 128, how can i get that higher. Also i installed 3 Barker Modules to the R4 droid. What do all of them do?
If anyone could help with making this droid work properly it would be very helpful

I don't think it can get higher than 128 characters, but installingthree barker modules shouldn't be any more effective than installing one.

Uhh..with 128 characters, you could easily list a couple things in there:
Med Probot w/ storage & full armor/weaponry! Full line of astromechs!
69 Characters including spaces. That leaves quite a bit more, my friend, and there's a radial option for the waypoint. You can fit atleast another droid model in that space: Full Crafting Station R3!
Now, if you're a good DE and word travels fast, you can start advertizing only what sells, and if people go to buy it, inevitably, they'll notice your other droids...AAAnd...Uhh...Sorry lol...

im not worried about advertising certain things, just advertising that im buying stuff, selling this and that....etc
