DE is not like Architect, and so cannot be compared

In a very mysterious way.

Perhaps its because Architect is so much easier to do on a day to day basis, I don't know

Yes - the two professions are different. Yes, they require some different skills to succeed with the "technical" side of the business. I've been a very successful Master Architect for 6 months and am firing up my droid business now, so I can compare them when it's relavant.

But the simple concept of figuring out what *value* you give the customer is a *business* concept that cuts across all crafters. Basically, any pricing that is based on the notion of "X cpu * number of resources used" is very off-base, from my perspective. When's the last time you heard a weaponsmith talking about pricing based on "cost per unit of resource"?

Either way you look at it people are going to be spending alot of money when the expantion comes out. At that point there will be a drop in the ammount of money in the system overall.
First drop: people grinding to beable to build ships.
Second drop: people buying said ships and needing to repair em.
I highly doubt that a space fairing vessal is going to be made as cheap to repair as a landspeeder. (unless your expected to wear an enviroment containment suit) That will be the biggest money hole of all. Untill people find the best area of space to make money.
Basicly arguing that there to much money in the system whynot line my pockets with it doesnt work. In the end when they have thier happy little ship they are going to find a DE that they know has reasonable prices, and not your realy close to Corinit shop that was conveniant to get to in the past.
Basics. If the coustmer buys once in a while from you, your not holding a stable coustomer base. If he comes back and says I'll send my frieds over to check your shop your providing sustanible pricing, and building a good coustomer base.
