Actually, I do seriously believe that people will use more droids now that the battery life has been increased to 4 hours.
One of the longest standing complaints about droid use has been that the Droid battery lifespan does not last long enough. This is one of the primary complaints from those that use Harvestor Droids, Combat Droids, Tank Droids, Medical Droids, Entertainer Droids, and even the Power Droid.
That's cool, I mean you're entitled to your opinion about it.
I'm of the mindset that whoeverfound a complaint about droids before (droid batteries) will find another (complexity, cost, usefulness) to dissuade them from ever getting a droid or bothering. Give people one less thing to complain about, and they'll find something else to take it's place - I mean, I've been on the forums for awhile. I'm fully aware of this. I'm even one of the complainers
All I see this as is another way to remove repeat customers from my business.
This is THREE hits I've taken for item I used to sell.Vehicle and Droid Customization kits, and Droid batteries. That's BS. I'm sorry, but it is.
The thing is, as I've said before, one example is apples, the other oranges. You can't lump them together because the nature of the changes are fundamentally different.
The change to Customization kits was not asked for by anyone I know of, I don't recall ever seeing any push for it in the Artisan or DE forums. There used to be, before they got pushed to 200, but since then nothing. However the sudden change to 2000 (to match the far easier to produce Starship Paint Kits, it seems) was not requested, nor thought out. I will agree with you on that point.
BatteryLife we asked for. In my use of my own droids, and in the course of running my business, the subject of battery life has come up time and again. Other DEs have run into it too (your mileage may vary). That is why it's been on our issues list for a long long time. You can classify the idea that this will help us as an opinion all you want, but that doesn't change the fundamental fact that this change was something we wanted because cutomers asked for it. I know you love to blame the Devs for stuff, but this time you can't. If it turns out you were right and we were wrong, so be it, but if it's such an offensive concept to you, then you should have been reading and posting here to get it removed from our issues list long before this.
