Let it be 1/3rd slower than an X-34 if they want to make it a pain to use(they may just do it to indulge their so-far inexplicable hatred for us). Just as long as we can survey without being incapped.
Like an ATST with NO weapons............solves the "art" problem......they already have it.

How about, as a protection measure for Crafters, we get a combat droid that can be called down like the BH's Arakyd Probot. The Crafter's version of this would be a higher end droid with a limited life of 5 mins. It should argo all NPC's (except Faction ones), creatures, and lairs in a 75m radius from where it was called. The owner should get no loot rights, no combat xp, and no harvesting rights from the targets killed by this droid. We'd get our "bodyguard" droid, no "free checkers," and, if made to be a limited use item, an item of repeated business. Possible?

Kind of like countermeasures, but on the ground.
Not a bad idea.
