It's a new era of SWG. Out of all the many changes, arrivals, and departures, this is probably the saddest.

It's not often I find myself at a loss for words (especially when replying to TK's posts

), but all I can think of reall to say is :

You will be missed.

Anold DE, travelling a lone highway
came at the evening, cold and grey
to a chasm, vast deep and wide
through which was flowing a sullen tide.

The DE crossed that chasm at the day's last light
for the stream held no fear for him that night,
but he turned - when safe on the other side,
andbuilt a droid to span the tide.

"Good friend!" Cried a fellow DE near,

"Why build you this droid at eventide?"

The old DE lifted is tired, weary head.
"Good friend, in the path I have come", he said,
"There follow after me today,"
"Other DEs, whose feet must pass this way."
"This stream which has been as naught to me,"
"To those bright-eyed youth, may a pitfall be."

"They too will cross in the twilight dim,"
"Good friend, my droid is in service, for him."

Ouch, This is a major occurance, and somthing I dont feel qualified to comment on. TK has been perhaps the greatest, most respectable Droid Engineer in the history of the game, keeping in mind the frequency of extraordinary droid engineers. There is very little i can say to express the way this hits me, TK is/was a prominant pillar and shaper of the community. And although it may sound as an insult, I thank him for his influence on the shape of the profession we play today (which keep in mind is a profession which has drawn us in and kept some of us involved for nearly two years, dispite the myriad of hurdles) and which most of us wish we could play indefinatly, afew new toys granted.

TKI wish you best of luckin your next project, I hope you'll drop by from time to time with advice/consolation. And above all i hope the situation improvesto the point where we can welcome you back one day, or that we can meet again onanother forum for a game that lets you builddroidsthat meetthier potential.

Until then best wishes with the utmost of respect.

I'll be honest, I read this post yesterday but couldn't really put into words how I felt (and I probably still can't).

In my eyes, you've played this game better than anyone else. You've seen the complete evolution. You've even sat down with the makers and have seen their motivations. Very few, if any of us can say we've done the majority of the things you have. If I knew anyone who could say with a straight face that this game has improved over the last 2.5 years, I would have said it would be you.My feeling is that with you leaving, it's anothersign that in the grand scheme of it allthings have not improved, and at the very most has been a lateral transition. I know I feel like we've been sent back to Oct. 2003 where everyone only has partial knowledge of the game. The only difference is that Jedi (and all the headaches they create), mounts/speeders, and player cities exist. Maybe we can get Pappi to throw up a monunment for you in NU outside Droid Meccawhen Prime comes back up.

You've been a great inspiration to many of us. At the very least, we thank you for that.

TK, I am saddened to see you leave but I guess we cant expect for everyone to stay in the game forever. I do hope you will return in the future along with a more positive DE profession. Godspeed in whatever you do. I will miss your /bows.

You don't know me, andI never met you... but Thanks! Thanks for helping all of us learn the ropes in this vast and complicated profession. I have more printed out forums info with your name on it than any other. When I scrolled down and saw your signature, I knew there was good valuable info there. Thanks again!

You were and still are, a great influence over us all. You alone have given to us DEs whatshould not have been asked of thousands. You have given your blood, sweat, and tears without asking for thanks.

We hope your journeys return you back to us safely. The words "Thank you" does not do you enough justice.

Just an FYI for everyone reading this thread.....

TK sent me an email, with some info to pass along. Now that his game account has expired, he no longer has forum access, at least member access. He stated that he will " keep an eye on things silently and we'll see."

If anyone wishes to get in contact with him, via email, he can be reached at [email protected]. He also passed on the information that he will be setting up a Yahoo chat on his computer soon.
