Thread: Sintrosi, TH's questions put us back to square 1. We need your help.

The best thing that happened to eq was when he left (look at the sales and subscription rates) ... SWG might have a turnaround too when raph and the people with ABASHI's TERM "The Vision" leave and they put someone in with some idea about customer service and providing the product that the majority of the player base wants (you know .. like all those poll's you took and ignored, as in most players want to PvE so we will deminish thier ability to do so cause we want to).... sadly this is not what we have now. ( we liked seeing things as mundane as patch notes telling us that spelling errors were corrected in eq .... it showed us at least some action was being made to communicate with us)
Hrmmm time warp ... HOLO gets tired of trying to defend his actions (remember the "we want to make good feedback too post... aka quit yelling at us for messing the game up and give us a cookie) and soon after we get TH ... i feel sorry for what you have to endure TH ... really i do. The problem as SOOOOO many people have stated is even having an "Assistant Communinity Relations Manager" still changes nothing ... we have Abashi'ism (tm) , nothing more , nothing less. Nothing is getting fixed, more things are getting broken in the name of "balance" and still nobody that can will take responsability for thier actions(or lack there of). While TH's job may or may not be more substantial that what is implied the historical facts say he is a meatshield because HOLO and pals don't wanna hear it. Please prove us wrong.
The Vision should be "satisfy the customer, not your ego"
This is not a hate TH post .... he is a man that has been put into a very bad situation due to the inability of the development team to own up to thier mistakes and correct them (AKA why are there so many classes that DO NOT WORK- BE-BH-DE-CARB-PIKEMAN-RIFLEMAN- and so on). The only thing he ever has done poorly is choose one wrong word (EXPLOIT). This man is trying to do his best to put out the fires and cover for the mental ineptness of the Development/Productorial teams.
No kidding, Pooka. SLs would dance with joy if we got this post. We're happy that DEs got it too.
If your forum was anything like ours (and I'd bet my bottom cred it was), then you probably had a million posts saying things like "All we ever ever wanted is a dev response. Even if they just said something like "we'll look into it," I'd be happy. All we want is just some indication that they know there's a problem!"
Well you got it. And you got it before Chefs and Squad Leaders, which are no better off. (Thats not a complaint, Thunderheart. I know you're working on it.)
And color me ignorant, but from a non-DE perspective, the report looked pretty **edit** good. I like the mention of decorative droids, more personalities, etc. I liked the combat droids and bomber-droids. I liked lots of stuff with it.
Not to mention some of the complaints seem to be invalid. For example, the post with the humorous conversation between DE's and the TalkingHead made points about power droids and repair droids not working as a major issue, but I think its fairly obvious that if the devs intend to add functionality to these droids <i> as the report stated it would, </i>then they will be trying to make them work. The bugs will get attention. More bugs will be created, but they'll also get attention.
Or perhaps, ThunderHeart, the fault does lie with you. You should the way you should address the community is MUCH more explicit. Never forget to say that you intend to fix bugs. Otherwise we may think you like them.

I agree, we are back at square one....
Personaly Im disgusted with the CH-obsessed developers or who ever it may be that is to blame for our broken profession.
ButThunderHeart has not been given a "fair" amount of time to produce actual results. Im willing to wait just a bit longer.... just a bit.

Odo, it's just another way to blow us off. They won't read those posts because then they'd actually have to do something.
Thanks TH! I'm sure everyone appreciates you taking the time to look at enormous amout of information and ideas already posted in our foum. I know I do as it is the most attention we have ever received. When you get done with them it would be interesting to hear your thoughts based on the existing input.

For me I think the Artisan in general needs a swift kick start. Weaponsmiths and Architecs are the only worth while artisans around.
