By girinding I just mean making droids in general. Mercifully I have left the XP grind behind.

Tanooshmas on Gorath 2-2-1-3

Walk around the starport hawking droids and talking to people - usually leads to an entertaining, if unprofitable evening..... then a BH will come to my vendor and buy out my entire stock!

I make more money sellling GP and EMMs!

But I'm staying with it until the end! I figure Vehicles have to come through the DE tree....

I am thinking of becoming a DE.... something I noticed is that Sony SERIOUSLY needs to regroom their advancement levels... there should really only be a few Masters of ANY profession in the galaxy.... I think Sony should institute either a new more difficult point structure or Perma Death for all level 4's of a profession and masters of a profession... this makes it more realistic due to the fact that everyone will be looking for the head of a master... its real sad that I can count Masters of Professions all over the place and the game be only 3 onths old....

No, I am not not really here. SWG is generally pointless, even more so if you are a droid engineer. I was one of the first Masters on Starsider and I don't think that any of us are still around. I don't even bother playing anymore. After accumulating nearly 4 million credits selling droids early (the benefit of being one of the first masters), there was no point to the game nor the profession. I can't retrain my character or all the work will be wasted. And, since I needed to master artisan and droid engineering, I really couldn't branch out and try something new. I can't do PVP since, even if I was a pistolteer, I would never be able to compete on the battlefield. I can't build or repair structures on the battlefield. I can't buy anything that will help me.

This situation ultimately proves one thing about SWG. In the end, it's the journey that is the most fun. Once you reach master (and especially with all the nerfs), there's no point in continuing. At some point, making another 30k a day selling that one surgical droid really doesn't satisify the time requirements that I put into the character. At some point, credits become meaningless. So, it comes down to friends and such but, as some people have noticed, SWG does not hold the attention of die-hard players. There's simply no end-game. As an artisan, there's REALLY no end-game.

If Sony would abolish or tweak the system so people could get more classes, then there might be opportunities for people to explore new paths. In nearly all other RPG games, even Artisan classes can go out and adventure and run quests. That's not entirely possible in SWG. I will, even with my advanced probot (weee) never be able to experience about 90% of the "content" in the game. I will never be able to participate in PvP effectively. Furthermore, my reward for running a good business is, in the end, simply credits which are pretty useless.

Totally pointless game. Sorta like Dark Age of Camelot. When you reach levle 50, all you can really do is sit around and PvP. Now, imagine if you reached level 50 and you couldn't even PvP.

In eternal hope that someday I will have a product to sell that I can be proud of I haven't deleted my account. BUT, I am in the middle of an extended SWG vacation until such time as the DEV's remember that have a DE class.

My only market on Lowca was BH droids, and once the BHfinishs the Investigator line they will never ever buy another droid. Sure there is some market for Crafting and Medical droids, but really, Once they have their craft station and med station, they have little reason to ever come and talk to you again. When I realized my only cash market for making droids was to build Protocol and R2 chassis for people to decorate their homes and cantinas with, well that day I went into retirement.
