Thread: So much for being positive and the truth

That being said, how come this wasn't caught on TC long before it came to live? I've got a character on TCbut he's a newb so there's no way I could have run these experiments, but it seems like someone would have figured this out...
This is a great point. If more of us on were on test center how many of our bugs in the past would of been cought and not had a huge uproar. This patch was on TC for about 6 weeks. If this would of been caught and brought to our attention in half the volume it is, I bet it might of been changed.
Publish 7 & 8 are on thier way, GnomeAd has started a DE guild on test center, to prevent upsets such as this we need as many DE's on test center that we can get. Otherwise another Droid Crafting station bug might sneak its way to live.

As we both know, this forum didn't used to be so negative. And we both know why it got to be that way.
Hopefully, I can talk you into helping it get back to its past glory as a positive and upbeat board to be in.
How can this change? By getting some real posts from devs, not blame, not their version of a flame on players (e.g., you guys changed your mind, you are too negative so we won't do our job and communicate with you). We need substantail posts, like "we can do X and Y, but not Z and this is why",
Hey..I've always been a big advocate of that very point. Some of the break-down posts end up being about nothing BUT that. I understand your need for info...I feel the same way. I'm just starting to accept that we will never likely get all the info that we'd ever want...they just can't dump truckloads and truckloads of info on us, despite their best intentions to do just that.
Thunderheart has already stated that the droid changes won't be "sexy" - and that combat droids were. His mindset as a PvP uber killer are often apparant, and Ihave no doubt that they color his opinions when expressing the DE wishes to the devs.
Well, this has been something of a concern to me as well. Hopefully, the fact that TH is/was working on Architect will help him to understand the crafters' issues and mindset much better.
If nothing else, it's possible that there are other Devs behind the scenes that DO 'get' us crafters quite well and are working (albeit without us being able to see it) on our behalf.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The ball is in the dev's court to, as the phrase goes "show us the money". Then they will see the positive changes from their paying customers here.
I'm pretty sure we'll starting seeing some 'money' later today when they approve the draft post that TH built last night.
When the info starts to roll out, I'd really really ask for you (and other board vets) to try your hardest to stay upbeat and positive. It really is our way back to having the DE boards be how they used to be....
Respectfully,

I can't blame TH for not liking us at this point - we are problematic for the devs, and as TH is their spokesman, we have taken a lot of our frustration out on him.
I don't think that TH dislikes us, per se. I think that he does believe that we're overly negative and have a pretty short hair-trigger.
who cares if he likes you....who needs him to like you.....he is paid to be the COMMUNITY rep....he is supposed to listen to you...its his job...you dont need him to be your buddy.
if the devs are only going to work on professions that are all hugs and kisses towrd them then nothing will ever get done
For starters, I see this all over the place, people saying "DE's asked for this, DE's asked for that" "Stop whining, this is what we asked for". I never asked for anything. =) Just to clear that up. DE's are not one big automoton, we are individuals who think separatly from one another. Before you go bashing the Devs for not wording their responses quickly, please word your reposnses correctly and keep that in mind when spouting off "what all the DE's asked for", cuz some of us didn't ask for anything.
