Added Creature Harvester Module to the DE skill tree: This module will allow any character to program and control an equipped droid to advance on the look-at target of the player and harvest the resources on the creature. The player can preset the droid to harvest one of the three types: meat, hide or bone. Or the player can just let the droid pick a random resource type.

Wow -- huge changes were made -- didn't expect more than barker droids and ent droids. Still don't understand why the devs were extremely tight-lipped about the changes made -- but I'm really excited about them.Because there are a lot of difficult changes here and we didnt know what we would be able to finish. A lot of people pu in a lot of extra time and came up with some pretty cool stuff
Give them all our thanks TH.
Tell them they should treat themselves to their favorite restaurant. It looks great!
If you listen carefully you can hear the ecstatic cries of DE's echoing as they read the patch notes.

Is this useable by any Profession? Say, a Jedi who has no Scouting skills? Can they now harvest with the Droid Module?
Casper
You have to have Novice Scout to use this droid.

The list is great like you said it would be Tk but one thing has me worried:
I hope it helped those that lost of faith in me...
Added Merchant Barker Module to the DE skill tree: This module allows for the owner to input a short message that is continuously transmitted to nearby players. It also allows him or her to place a waypoint in the droid that is given to any player that requests it via the radial menu on the droid.
That sounds like the spam-bot that many people were affraid of. Any info on how this actually works for someone who can't download the test center patch? (stupid 56k connection)
I don't know how this works yet so I don't know about the spamming. I guess I'll see later tonight (hopefully).
Respectfully,
It is an amazing list of Droid features we have been asking for! Great they could include things like droid survey and harvestor helpers.
I guess I am going to be stocking up on droid shells starting now!
One more question, this one's for Thunderheart if he's still lurking ![]()
Any more word on copying characters to Test Center so i don't have to grind DE and live in poverty again?

Just to point out that it does say ANY PLAYER, unlike the trap droid. Are you sure on this point?

You have to be a Novice Scout to use the features of this module. It's similar to a Medical module needing a Novice Medic (or higher) character to govern its use.

Respectfully,
I have to say that im impressed. The devs deserve credit for actually building modules we've wanted for months (not to mention removing some that dont make sense,.... covert detector disabler???)
There are some really interesting changes. The auto-healing module can REALLY change the droid dynamic in combat. You get a group of a dozen people with our combat droids and they get healed in regular intervals and that can be a way useful item. A lot of class specific modules is an excellent start, and also leaves hope that with each class revamp, a droid may possibly become available.
But for all the good of this patch, it baffles me why they allowed hundreds of severely angry people to remain angry and to cancel account, drop professions, when they have had plans that would of satisified the majority of them.
At any rate, im willing to put the dev's ignoring us in the past, if the devs will be willing to come into the snake pit, and I ask my brother DE to do the same.
Damn. I had myDE Retirement all worked out. Now I dont know what to do.
The changes look really great. I can see it now, our businesses will be alot beter now that there will be more of a customer base with the new mods.....
Can't wait to try out the new stuff..
Thanks,
