Thread: Droid Poll: Has the advent of Publish 7 been a good thing or a bad thing to your business?
Good.
Anything new sells, and lots of customers waiting for those new Patch 8 modules!
Not to hijckthe thread or anything, but how could this publish have been BAD for someone's business? How could anyone argue that pub 7 has DECREASED their business?
Chris
Great, sells are up! No complaints from my customers.

TK, I know you wanted short answers, but there really isn't any way I can do that, so.....
Short term=Good overall
The positives-Increased droid sales within the few days after Publish 7 due to the introduction of Combat droids.
The negatives- Totally eliminated the sales of "furniture droids" which were a large portion of my business. BH sales minimalsince there has been no change to the BH droid bug. Combat droid orders dried up rather quickly once people understood what they could do.
Long Term= Unsure. The changes to armor and the low HAM do not appear to be having a positive influence on my sales. Customers, while happy with what they have, are already indicating that they have better pets and use my droids more as a novelty than as a main combatant.

this poll doesn't have enough options to be meaninful. the only proper answer is:
neither
Bad over the long: The novelty will wear off, Armor gone, can't have a droid plus creature out...
Have to see how Publish 8 will help people with the new crafting/entertainer modules
As a fairly new Master DE on Chilastra, I have to say that I don't feel this patch made much difference at all. Most people who were asking me about combat droids were more interested in "new models" than actual combat stats. The two actual combat models I've sold (a probot and an r3), those customers later told me that they were worthless to them in combat.
All in all, I don't see this patch as a bad thing. It didn't HURT my sales. But it defintely didn't improve them, either. My biggest gripe, I suppose, is that this publish seemed to be really "hyped up", and made out to be this big patch for DEs, but instead all we got was a few bug fixes, and some very minor upgrades.
And the fact that it was announced (even in the patch message if I remember correctly) that you would be able to call a level 10 creature IN ADDITION TO a level 10 droid pet.... why was this revoked? Seems very silly, and was never announced that it would be revoked. TH said that they bumped the level up to 13 and took away the ability to summon 2 at a time... but level 13 is still 7 levels less than the proposed two level 10 pets.
Anyway... even though I'm a DE, I still only use my BE pet to defend me (I have 0 combat skills). The droids just can't handle much to be worth my while.
