I can't beleive this. Why do they even bother asking us what we want, all they do is get r hopes up so they can crush them. Thnx SWG, once agn no love for the DE. Im very disapointed

Won't work. Holo DEs would only stay on a couple extra days to get thier money back and move on to be replaced by another.

Doesnt this seem like because you are haveing a little trouble cutting cheese with a knife, you go out to the garage and get a chainsaw?! A droid handler profession? Where did that come from?

I didnt see that, did anyone suggest that and I missed it? So no high end droids and nothing above level 10 for us...seems like we are just going to have different versions of the probot!

I have to admit, they sure do make this game aggonizeingly difficult to play!

Good lord... a Droid Handler profession. Could it BE anymore unwanted? How stupid is that idea...

I'm truly at a loss for works, and SO not ina good way. I'm about ready to drop DE completely. Lots of droids made, lots of resources used, lots of money spent... All for nothing. Nothing at all.

I suspect that we won't ever hear a full accounting or explanation of what's taken place today. So much for communication, I suppose.

I salute your bravery and, should you be touched by the wand of Ban, that you enjoy your journeys into other realms.

If you are able to stick around, I shall be proud to hail you as a king among DEs and true champion of the broken down chassis we all hope to one day enjoy working.

You know, as I was reading this, it occurred to me that this info should be posted into a few other profession forums and other places where messages can be posted. What's the worst that can happen that hasn't already (or is about to) happen? Other professions should know and understand the kind of "communication"(and I use the term gratuitously) that occurs between the correspondents, TH, and the Devs. We're already the pariah profession--might as well revel in the part.

You all certainly read selectively. What part of the following words from our Correspondent didn't you understand?

We WANT Droideka's in the game, but since they arent going on the DE tree, they have to go in some Skill tree that makes sense. Players MUST spend points and skill boxes to get this "Droid Handling" ability.

So, what does this mean? There had to be a class that ran the heavy combat droids. And our Correspondent, after listening to the boards, told them that we didn't want to be the class that ran said droids.

So what does that leave, given the DEV(not Thunderheart - the real powers) decision that it must cost extra skillpoints to get the ability?

Ta-da! A new class - let's just call it a Droid Handler.

The Droid Engineer community, helped enthusiastically by their Correspondent, did this to itself. Thunderheart didn't lie - everything he said was factual. The Droid Engineers didn't want to be the Droid Handlers, so that left the creation of a new class as the sole remaining acceptable option.
