The Devs in the Stratics chat explicitly stated several times that the expansion is NOT a Jedi-only expansion; non-Jedi can do the missions, too. They did admit the expansion is oriented towards combat professions. Pure crafters (e.g. a MDE and MA template) will likely have to sit on the sidelines.

I'm not holding my breath the DEs will get Battle Droid schematics from this expansion, though.

By the way, great job in hijacking the thread. Instead of focusing on droid content for DEs, it devolved into whining about KoTOR and Jedi. C'mon guys, this is the DE forum -- not the Jedi or BH forum. Give the hate a rest already.

Judging by the way that Rage of the Wookiees was handled, and the fact that I've seen numerous posts on forums like the Items and Loot forum that show people want to get "cool, worthwhile rewards like weapons" rather than what they call "crap", I wouldn't be surprised if there was indeed a reward of an HK droid, but not craftable. Just a free combat droid for anyone who wants one. And of course it would be better than the combat droids we can make.


Sorry to seem so negative, but it just seems like they are phasing out crafters from the high end stuff. Mostly weaponsmiths and architects so far, but it seems that the crafters are there to help the lower level people and then once you can hit the quest planets the rewards that you get are much better than what you can get from a crafter.
