Doh!

Hmmm...well, how about this...

We do this meeting on the 9th and another (maybe larger) one 2 weeks later, maybe in a different venue?

Does that sound jake?

For the sake of the profession we should _never_ speak of the BLL races again.

I might try to attend, although from previous games I can mention that I usually end up forgetting about such. :-P (I missed quite a few MetaCons and BureauCons in Anarchy Online.....) Especially since I'll likely be working on restocking my combat droids at the time - they have a habit of selling fast, ever since I gathered enough quality copper to make 600 Combat R3s. :-P

(While I don't have a character on Ahazi yet, travel costs aren't a problem... the n00b quests are quite helpful in that regard.)

No disrespect meant at all here, but ummmm, take Mom to lunch. The meeting's at 7 PM. :->

(I won't get to take mine to lunch, I live 500 miles away, but I'll call her -- early in the day.)

Well, I for one don't have the luxury of taking Mom to lunch, or grandma, or mother in-law. I really would like to attend as there are some issues that I need to get cleared up butI guess I'll have to settle for the chat logs. I'll try to get all my questions and issues to someone I know is attending.

Mother's Day?

Ahh I forget y'all are from a different planet - nevermind

Yes, here across the pond once upon a time, a very large greeting card company decided they weren't making enough money. Sure they had valentines day and christmas and the ocasional birthday and "i'm sorry you wandered into the street and got hit by a truck, get well soon" cards, but the months from february to december were lacking something. So they made up a day to celebrate the person that brought you into the world (no not the doctors but I hear their day is coming soon). And with a massive advertising campaign and large amounts of implied guilt should anyone fail to present a 1.95 piece of paper to their mother, this holliday has worked it's way into the country's calendar.

I'm thinking I volunteered to do something for an organization I belong to IRL on Sunday around that time (I'm in Hawaii, so that's 1PM my time), but if I can rearrange my schedule, I'll try really hard to remember to attend. When you're old like me, your memory isn't as good as it used to be.

Will go make a new toon on Ahazi right now & try to make enough dough to get to Corellia!

Is there some official way for me to actually join the DEAnet? (I read the faq, but it's still clear as mud to me.)

Hope to see you all on Sunday.

There isn't any way to really "join"...other than to simply be a DE and get involved.

I'll talk a bit more about it at the meeting cause I know we are likely to have some new people about this time.

Note: EVERY new character ends up in Mos Eisley now. Its not because anyone rushed, its the way things are. my advice is to give the New Player Experience content a try! It was a lot of fun, and the second reward you get in the Artisan missions is a Free Travel Voucher. This is how I got to Corellia and with the money my Trusty Helper droid helped me earn, I bought a ticket to Vreni Island, and spent a little while gathering resources to make 5 CDEF rifles, as part of the job he got me.

I'm a boring person I guess, but it was really entertaining and brought a real nice flavor to learning how to Survey and craft. I can't believe how excited I got when I hit a resource pocket for chemical and brought up enough polymer to complete my assignment after only 2 sampling "ticks"
