I like to get the list revised. both versions offered are good in my book. with one exeption.
The idea of removing the chassi's used for advanced versions. I very much doubt that idea would ever get any serious consideration from the DEVS. Most if not all of these require a buttload of components and many of these components require MA components. Since it was mentioned in another thread that more interdependability might be given to the other professions to level the playfield, removing the need of all those subcomponents from the DE list would go against what they said.
The use of a adv. frame module for adv. droid could maybe do the trick, but then I think that module would get some rework in whats needed to make it. 110 steel and 70 fiberplast just isn't the same as 2 adv. droid brains, adv. motive system, manipulator arm package set, Droid sensor module and so on. It would more likely be that each of these adv. frame modules could be split in two. one adv. utility frame module and one adv. combat frame module. Each require an assortment of varoius components. Socket clusters, MME's and other subcomponents galore.

That's not an exception, that's the idea. I wouldn't remove adv chassis, just the split between basic and adv models. I'd prefer there be a chassis for each and every droid. The final build would be the chassis, some resources and all the optional parts. That way, we canfactory build the chassis for each droid and maintain a stock of those instead of crates upon crates of components. Sure, we'd still have modules, but it'd make life much easier if I didn't have to have loads of brains, motive units and manipulator arms lying around, clogging my inventory because I can't wear a backpack with my Droidsmith Tool Set.
