Terrific list, another addition
Expert Systems Module: Gives the Droid what is effectivly a socket to accept a Skill Enhancing Attatchment (Skill Enhancing chip?) In exactly the same way as Clothing Attatchments. Don't think there would be any "free Checkers" issues with this one

Mineral Survey Droid -
- Seeker Droid Variant
- Useable only by those with Survey Skills (a cert at Survey 2)
- Just like Seeker, has 10 uses before it'sused up(fix the unlimited use seeker bug please!)
- at Survey 2 - Find the high point of the closest tap of selected resource
- at Survey 4 - Find the highest point of the selected resource on the planet, or find me a spot > X%
Mineral Probe Droid -
- Probe Droid Variant
- Useable only by those with Survey Skills (a cert at Survey 3)
- Just like the Probe Droid, has 5 uses before it's used up
- at Survey 3 - Go to planetX and give me a LIST of resources for a resource type ( list of all of the minerals as one would see in themineral survey tool for example ) on that planet. If you wanted to see a list of all the resources of all resource types, you would need tosend a separate droid toplanetXfor each resource type

Hello I p[osted the message below in the Architect Forum as someone... (sorry I forget who) posted a request to hear what kind of droids we (the architects) would be interested in.....
I've been following the DE forums as I'm still deciding if I want to continue my DE career, what i have noticed is a complete lack of droid doing monotonous chores..... Sort of what they were designed to do.
I would like very much to see the following droids.....
Survey Droid... a droid that would survey an area / whole planet for mineral hotspots. it would be even better if you could specify the resource you were looking for and a % threshold. If it could tell how long the resource has been around or has left that would be a plus.
Structure Managment Droid... a droid that at the very least lets you view the status of your current structures, look into hoppers remotely (not necessarily retrieve items). it would be great if you could pay maint and add power via this droid. For extra bonus points, it could collect resouces from harvesters. I know people will say that this will not be fair because of lot trades etc... just limit this droid to the characters 10 lots, ie the droid can only manage your structures andnot structures that you have admin access to.....
Delivery Droids.... Droids that will travel to a specific waypoint or possibly track down a player character and perform a trade with that character.
Repair Droids... I remember reading a post in the DE forum about the repair droids seen in episode 1, the clam shell ones trhat repaired the pos racers....have a couple of types ... armor repair droids, weapond repair droids, vehicle repair droids, etc....
for other professions....
Harvester / looting Droids... In keeping with the Survey / Structure managment droids, why not have droids that will harvest organics / loot from you kills?
Vendor Managment Droid / Module... same as above but for managing vendors.
Sales Droid / Sales Module ... I know thay are implementing a "barker" module that will spam adds... However if you could place items in the droid and have them sell them in situ. that would be great. and this would make more sense that a droid spamming "hey, you can buy X but you have to go to XXX XXX". can you image what Coronet is going to look like?
Travel Droid / Travel Module... A droid or perferably a droid module that would allow you to purchase travel tickets....
and isn't about time that there was a Translation module for Protocol Droids.......
I know that some of these ideas have already been on this list I just icluded my whole post for completenes....

Awesome list DE's, thanks TK for compiling it. If even half these make it into the game and we get a few new chassis DE would be inifitely better. Once again - really awesome job DE community.

May I recommend changing the nname from Mineral to Resource. This will take in all resource type(s), which I am certain that was your intent.
I like this and the output would be in a format for uploading to swgcraft.com!

I assume that the absolute #1 most-requested artisan/crafter droid module, Harvester Maintenance, has been omitted because TH previously said it was technically infeasible.
I would recommend adding it back in. TH has not proven to be a reliable source of information on what is possible, impossible, or probable. The devs should not stop seeing this request based on TH's limited ability to predict what will happen.
More than any other single feature, artisans have repeatedly requested a droid capability to check harvester maintenance & power and retrieve hopper contents. If this is technically impossible (not difficult), then we need to hear this from somebody who writes code or manages the people who writes code .... because the nearly useless fluff we are offered as "functionality" on droids today is not a substitute for something actually useful and interesting.
First of all, from a development standpoint, NOTHING like this is "technically infeasible". Code is code is code... it's meant to be written and rewritten. If Microsoft said a GUI was "technically infeasible" 15 years ago, where would we be now? If the current code is "technically inept" and cannot support such additions, then the current code "technically" should be rewritten/updated to allow for a more classful approach to adding things. It makes me wonder if some of the coders are lazy, ignorant or are simply not being supplied with the ideas, and other people are making these calls.

Keep in mind that things may be "technically infeasabile" not due to what the coders can code, but how much processing time such a thing is going to take up.
