Thread: Vendor Nonsense

I've been trying to keep my vendor stocked with a fresh supply of the faster-selling droids, but I can't afford to keep doing it. I use the large arcade-lookingvendor, which routinely eats 3k-4k every couple days. This is not going to put me out of business, but it does spur the occasionaldebate regarding raising my droid prices.

Either the vendors need to be cheaper or prices need to go up.. acknowleged by players. In RL, I walk into a store and see an item for sale. I KNOW it's going to cost more than the tag says due to taxes. The same basic sense should be applied here... put a simple tax system in place and it becomes common knowlege that the "vendor tax" was just partially paid viawhatever crap the player just bought.

Just my 2cr.

Just had an interesting after-thought regarding my previous post.

Suppose when player cities become available, the town can choose to pay the tax directly, thus creating small towns with "no sales tax".. this is a tactic used in RL by some states in the USA to spur commerce and I think it would work just as well in SWG. (along with creating the same interesting economic issues as it does in RL) hehe..

Cheers,
