I can live with a DH-Profession, if ...

... the Devs have to move the needed Master Artisan-Schematics into DE-Schematics , so we can drop the Master Artisan and able to skill the DH -Profession too.

This is not a flame at all... as many have said, this is a complicated issue. The more discussion, the better. I have been here since day one (well, day two maybe when the login servers came back up) The reason I play SWG over any of the other MMORPGs out there is the simple fact that, in most aspects, I believe it to be a game based on sound principles and believable physics. I very much appreciate the logical manner in which most things in SWG are put together (im still trying to figure out how we can get a swoop bike or a graul into a datapad... but I'm willing to overlook that for the convenience factor)

Now, to the point... Droids are not creatures. In no way shape or form are droids anything like creatures. Droids are computer hardware and software controlling robotic parts. As a DE, I have worked hard to understand every aspect of what makes a droid tick. Why should there be anything that I cannot make a droid do? Why should there ever be a droid that I cannot use as a Master DE?

I'll close with a few short thoughts that hopefully can facilitate some more discussion:

1. Break the BE - CH - DE connection. We are our own profession - to be treated as such without regard for what is being done with/to BE, CH, or any other profession. IMHO ALL professions should be balanced to the game environment, not to each other.

2. Don't draw "lines in the sand" to distinguish a "crafting" profession from a "non-crafting" or "combat" profession. IMHO this can only be counter productive. God's, honest, truth... I am a Master DE that has never sold one single droid. Everyone plays their profession in their own way.

Well, it appears that my two cents turned into two dollars, so I'm going to quit now with a plea for differing opinions, comments, flames... etc. As long as they are well thought out. Thanks for careing!!!
