thank you so much for telling it like it is, i really enjoy being a DE but its a hollow profession and has so much potential, i would feel much better about it also if it had been a space add on, the prof is just too buggy to bother reiterating on. i only pray they will ditch this droid rng= droid handler thing right away, droids belong to everyone not just us DE's.

Great post, you were able to put all the flaming I would of done in a much more eloquent essay. Now, if the developers dont' read this post **edit** them.

Thank the gods! I'm a DE because I love robots (droids), and I hate it that my one word answer most of the time when people ask about my profession and certain droids is "worthless"

^ YES! But if the droideka is for master only, I don't want it to be as powerful or near as powerful as a master CH pet, else DE's will be filled will newcomers who just want the best pet they can get in the game. Decent probots for novice combat/non- combat classes, roger rogers for novice elite classes, and super battle droids for master elite combat classes.

Ugh, I am almost in real tears here after reading that. I so badly want to be a Droid Engineer. I hope the devs take this to heart.

Some things very apparant about the remaining Droid Engineers:

We have more faith and hope for SWG than perhaps anyone else in the game.

One final issue: I would like DEs to not be so closely dependent on the Master Artisan profession.

I hope you guys don't plan on rotating Sintrosi out of the Correspondant lineup any time soon, because she has been doing a wonderful job in the position. Very well said, and while I don't happen to think we're quite THAT hopeless and useless, I agree with the general sentiment that this profession is in SERIOUS need still of some extra lovin'. I've always believed, even back on my first days of the Dev boards when they opened, what, 3 years ago...that the Droid system is going to MAKE this game a Star Wars game. In its current state that WILL not happen. The CH changes may drive people more towards the droid market, but nevertheless the whole profession just has this general feeling of...2nd handedness.

I appreciate your efforts too TH to get back to us on our concerns, but even you can only do so much as our voice. Just please do what you can to get us heard! We miss ya, btw

Once again youinspirehope to many of us out there. Thank you for keeping up the good fight.

I think you've managed to cover our entire history as a profession quite well. I can't think of anything of importance that might have been missed.

Very well written post, Sintrosi.

I applaud you from the angle of a non-DE (actually I got to novice DE but dropped it like a hot potato when I realized it was a totally broken profession).

I keep coming back here because DE's and droids and what the bread and butter of Star Wars SHOULD BE.
