I would hope they have the good sense to let all the correspondants in the SE beta. I'm not one, but I think they are doing a great job and deserve some perks. Who better to pass the word to us about how SE is affecting our professions.

Ohby the way, take a look at the interchangable parts screenshot of the X-wing. Notice the "Droid" tab.

That tab is so fuzzy I really cant determine if it says droid or not, but the length and shape of the word is about the same

It would be nice if people could remove the droid from the shipand call it out like a normal droid.. that wouldmakethe droid seem more like a real sentient entity rather thanjust a "part" of the starship... Maybe due to the amount of module limitation (six on an R3 for example), not one droid could be the end all of the available droid abilities. Swap droids in and out depending on the type of enhancement you need for a particular space mission.

Nice idea...but I think that PC is 'off the grid'.

That trailer was a joke to me... I find it real hard to get excited over that, especially with the blatant exageration of the first half. Also isnt anyone else bothered this game is supposedly shipping in 6 months, but they dont have a playable demo for E3?I can only pray we'll be seeing it at the next E3 and not beta testing it on Live in november.

A bootleg video in denmark hardly a demo makes. Even if it is from E3, there's nothing showing that its real and not looped video. None of the gaming sites are carrying articles on it. The only article ive seen so far is Gamespot, where they specifically say its a non-playable demo.

Those bootleg videos originated from Stratics and I saw a picture in one of the E3 reviews I was reading earlier where one of the Devs at the JTL booth was playing in the JTL portion of the game.

In this case I think the term "non-playable demo" just means it's not for public use, only Dev demonstration use.

I hope this turns out as cool as it looks right now. I'm gonna dig shooting down Thunde...errr...the other Corrs. in beta.

Out of cuiosity, does that mean that the existing correspondants will be in the beta....and if so, would they have a chance to *cough* "recommend" *cough* others?

I don't know this to be the case, no. It was (perhaps) just wishful thinking on my part.

If they do give us a chance to recommend people for beta....I'll probably give some names.

You just make sure Jenden gets in beta, and im sure any droid issues will atleast be known and we can expect good details

Droids - astromechs, speficially - will have a very real impact on the performance of your personal spacecraft. Droids will be able to modify specific attributes of your spacecraft. For example, while in space you will be able to teach your droid to increase your throttle. When you then ask the droid to do so, you will see the maximum speed of your craft visibly increase. Increases of this type will also mean that some other attribute will probably be lowered to compensate for that increase. So increasing speed may mean lowering shields or weapon strength. The total list of effects a droid can have on your ship was not able to be shared at this time.
