So basically, armor with a high rating that is used once and destroyed forever has been replaced with reduced armor that can be repaired and always usable."

What I believehe means by this is the old (current probots) had high armour (medium with 40% resists). As you fight with this droid, the HAM takes damage, which regenerates over time, and ALSO takes black damage AKA wounds. Currently there is NO way to repair these wounds...

With the coming publish we will have repair kits that will repair this black bar damage that is currently impossible to repair..... as well as Stims to heal white bar damage....

The repair module can fix wounds on droids. You just have to stick it in the right droid and have someone else repair your droid since you cant have two droids out at once.

Once again thanks for the work you are doing on TC BUT

Do you realize that with your last post in the TC Monday bug thread, you basically conceded to the Devs that AR1 would be acceptable to DE in exchange for added HAM?

IMHO we should not be volunteering to give anything up...certainly not until we have a ruling on what was/is intended.

I think maybe that was a 'tactical error' there, sorry, but I do.

No offence intended

Maybe it was and maybe it wasn't. What's clear to me is that we're loosing armor and gaining HAM. It's not the tradeoff I would have choosen, and I made a judgement call on what I posted. The key thing to remember is that this will not only affect NEW droids but OLD droids as well. Everyone who bought a probot in the last 2 weeks basically wasted their credits.

TH basically said in his post WE ARE LOOSING THE ARMOR!

...I was trying to make lemonade out of lemons. It was a proposed solution, not THE solution. They will not give us AR2 with the ability to heal droids. It was probably a consession until they could implement repair kits anyway.

I dont think even TH knows what he said in his post on Armour..I honestly think that. He was trying to convey a concept he does not understand, and so worded it like he was discussing normal composite for players.

The ONLY thing a droid loses permanently is vitality..nothing else makes sense, so personally I think he was confusing wounds with HAM loss....at least I hope that is the case.

Anyway, thanks for your reply, and we shall see eh?

yes. it is a lot. but as has been pointed out elsewhere, most of the new ones are in the components for the highest level droid damage repair kits, which are capable of healing so much HAM that there is literally no need for them with the current combat droids.

yep, plus its not an all or nothing deal. Like any other meds you can use any combination of advanced/regular components you want until you get them right where you want them.

My question is this: for the composite armour panels that you've been using for the droid armour modules, is it worth while to use premium panels (specifically, with layers?)

I kinda get the impression the answer is currently no, how is it on test?

Thanks for the good work!

Just as another argument for the droid versus creature argument. Would it be possible to test this:

  • Status Effect Changes: The ability to effect the status of inanimate objects has been removed. Players will no longer be able to effect AT-STs, player vehicles, droids and turrets by the special effects of Stun, Dizzy, Blind, Warcry and wookiee roar. Additionally, biological DoT's (poison and disease) will no longer effect vehicles, droids or turrets and finally, AT-ST's and players vehicles will be immune to all posture changes.

  • I realise this may not be the easiest thing to test but it would be useful to know.

My question... If you have a droid with a repair module is it sill going to work like it always has?

So myR3 droid can sill heal a droids wounds completely in one shot?

This doesn't affect healing your own droids unless you transfer or have multiple accounts. I know you can not call 2 droids yet... but some day soon...

Can we get a few more pics with the other droids that can have combat modules in action? I would like to see the LE in combat.

Yes, the schematic drops from the Corvette, I have yet to hear of player crafted ones but I have seen QA running around on one on TC.

They are X21's, I believe - they are modified Landspeeders (just more compact and sleek).

The new vehicle is actually the AV-21.
