Thread: Here they are, TC changes so far (all schematics available now!)

This better not be intentional. If it is, that is going to be the second biggest nerf we have ever taken. If we can't make a droid with 4000+ HAM like the BE's can, yet they take away our armor, Iam hanging up my droid suit. I'm tired of the nerfs with nothing given back in return.

About the armor its not broken its another nerf because now the droids on live servers can kill any CL 10 pet with their medium 40% to all armor so that got nerfed sorry about that but it had to be done to keep it lvl 10 and with the ham experimentation it would be overpowered droid.
I've come to the same conclusion, what kept me from being sure about it before was that their system on TC made level 3 armor and up 40% resists, meaning making anything past level 3 was a waste. I couldn't believe they'd just cut out 3 modules from our profession, but it seems that there nerf on TC is bugged right now. making a droid with one level 3 armor module today got me a droid with 12% resists, but after I stored it and called it out again it had 40% resists. With 2 level 3 modules I got 20% resists untill stored, then again, 40%.
Shian, they are saying that the armor rating is gone. The only thing left is the 40% resists and zilch for armor rating.

I don't know what happened to you with that experiment. I did the exact same experiment and came out 40% resists every time.
hmmm, both razlin Iwere getting this with every droidwe made after saturday's patch(I think thats when it happened). When the droid is called out of the deed it has lower resistances, then after you've stored it and called it again the armor goes back to 40% resists. what droid types have you tried this with? I'll try some more experiments to make sure. Also, was the armor made before or after saturday's patch? I'm going to try and find out if old level 6 armor still gives pre-patch stats, if it does we can make some nasty droids.
check out my good and bad news post for more details of my experiment/findings.

Jenden or Javelin, do either of you have pre-patch made armor segments ? Do they work the same way I assume?
My second concern is, what they HECK are they going to do to our existing droids on live ??? Take them all to AR0 with 800 HAM ? Man, I wish I knew so I could run these couple hundred more probot chasis' I have made.
LOL, it's getting kind of funny.
The damage on Probots is now roughly at pre-nerf stats.
If they fix the Probot HAM to be in line with the other droids (LE, etc.) it should be around 3100-3200, which is the same as a pre-nerf.
Then they nerf the armor.
Is it me, or does anyone else think that instead of having a tin can for the past seven months, they could have just nerfed the armor in the first place and gotten it over with?
/sigh
Love being a guinea pig, LOL.

If they end up making droids have the same HAM as BE pets, but take away our armor they are overlooking a whole lot of things here.
First the BE's have almost limitless variety's they can make. From a Durni to a Bantha. We have how many models we can make for combat after this patch ?7 ? (LE's, DZ70, Probot and R series?).
Second, they can make pets that can double as mounts yet still be a decent combat animal.
Third, we have to fill every single slot in the droid to make it a decent combat droid. After we fill it, there is no room for utility modules.
Fourth, a combat droid won't do neat tricks to entertain you and they have no personality like the animals do.
Fifth, they can add in two special attacks that manage to still fit into a lvl 10 creature. Strong Poison and Disease or Dizzy, knockdown? We have nothing like that.
Sixth and possibly the biggest, pets can be buffed doctors and CH's and fed chef foods. Droids can't.
Droids should be better in combat for all the above reasons. We just don't have a whole lot going for us otherwise.
I'll wait for more info from you guys before passing judgement, but if the numbers are coming out to what I think they will be (inline with BE non-CH creatures) then I won't be disappointed, nor overjoyed either. Just shrug and move. It really hasn't made much difference in the end with the combat numbers: an AP0 or AP3 weapon is still going to take just as many shots to bring down a droid.
