you do what yeraze said and you use the Edit As HTML button before you submit post (do not preview.)
Back on target, anyone using a fully loaded harv droid? I've heard you need to stack a bunch of harv modules on it to get the full effect.

Just thought of something, and I don't want to "stir the pot" but,
Are we still getting a power meter for the droid's batteries? If not in this publish, will we still be getting it soon? I didn't see it in the patch notes...
yes, when you examine your droid it says power: x% or something similar to that.
Oh sweet, thanks!

Right. Compose your entire post, switch to HTML, and go in and put the tags around your link. Works fine.
is....
AWESOME.
A thousand thank-you's to TH, TK, and the dev team. You guys went above and beyond in getting these put together. I am overjoyed, delighted, excited, reinvigorated. I can't tell you how much my customers are going to *love* this kind of selection.
I don't have a TC char, but thanks also to everyone who is doing the extensive module testing.
aWOOOOga!

My suggestion, if you don't want to survey anymore, don't.I DONT>>>I HAVE ALL STATIC HARVETSORS NOW AND I JUSTMINE WAHT EVER SPAWNS UNDER THEM!!!!!There are plenty of people selling resources out there. The only time I do any of my own harvesting is when I've got a specific resource that I know just spawned and no one else is harvesting it, and even then I've only got one harvester to throw up on it. Surveying/harvesting is a choice, not a necessity.
Hehe, exactly.
I mean, I'm sorry, but resources are not supposed to be free - since the cost of harvesters/etc. is negligible the time commitment is the only gate.
Saying you "are tired of moving harvesters every week" is like saying, "I don't want to bother getting through the Genosian Cave, I just want to get the loot by sending a droid in to get it for me".
If you don't want to survey, don't - as Jenden says. If you can't afford to not mine your own stuff, you aren't charging enough for whatever you are using the resources to make.
If gathering resources were even easier than it is now - in your version, there is zero effort put forth - the flooded resource market would only continue to be flooded and the economy flushed down the toilet even further.
Again, if you use a survey macro and a vehicle you should never take more than 30 minutes to find the best spot on a planet - since you can drive from one end to the other in that time.

But I can see if there is a resource shift now with out traveling to another planet, and I can tell you what the stats are on the resources, the only thing I have to do is spend a few hours running around the planet finding a WP. What would be the benifit of having the droid if it is a one shot deal.
Out of idle curiosity, how can you tell if there has been a named/rare resource shift on a planet you're not already standing on?

It might have been a bit too much to ask at this point to have two survey droids similar to the BH droids. One to see what resources are on another planetand another to find waypoints on the planet you are on. Maybe in the future.

- and it would make real vendors less attractive.
the droid would be a "real" vendor....
speaking as a merchant i dont care WHERE or HOW people buy my goods...just that they BUY them....the merchants who frequent these boards are really too fixated on the vendors...really the vendors are just vanity items....most people could get along with the ugly Biz 3 vending machine.....
I would much rather have a droid GO TO MY CUSTOMERS rather than SPAMMING and trying to drive customers to my location...
The spambot is a TERRIBLE idea....we should be finding ways to reduce the spam, not making it some skill....
I definately see where you are going with the vendor thing, but the fact is they want to lure people away from major cities. And vendors aren't meant to be vanity items - these droids are. Vendors are meant to be the backbone of the economy.
I understand the aversion to spamming, but I think you are looking at the symptom as the problem, and not the problem itself.
The problem is that there is little advertising available, and in a game where the economy is entirely player based that is a severe limitation. We have all these pretty shops but no one knows about them. Vendor listings on the planetary map aren't enough.
The point is to get the people to the vendors, not bring the vendors to the people.
I assume there will be a way to ignore these droids if you so choose (if not, it will be soon, I'm sure because of the nerf cries already beginning), but I don't see the harm in having them, only the benefit.
You aren't going to "stop" spamming. Long term, there needs to be true global advertising in game, but like it or not spatial messages at Starports are the way business is going to be done for the forseeable future. There is no way with storage exploits and other issues that they are ever going to implement vendor mechanisms on droids that aren't severely limited - and if you can only get, say, 10 items on a droid at once, you might as well just stand there and sell them by hand.
I understand your frustration on the issue - I have days where I type /addignore when I can't stand it either - but for right now it is the best way to get people aware of something being available. I'd love for them to bring back vendor listings on the bazaar, but it doesn't seem like that is going to happen.
Since it's a merchant skill, it's really not going to change the spamming habits of "100K ore gotta sell now PST" people, but it will simply be an elegant way for a merchant to advertise their wares.
Spamming is ugly, but until people get a real, viable alternative it is going to be a fact of life, as it is in any MMO.

I could see that they don't want a novice artisan with no survey being able to survey an entire planet, so if they survey droid had a cert in survey 4 this would still mean people would have to pick and chose their points, but it would make it a lot easier for those of us who don't have much time in game to spend on surveying for one resouce, when we need 3 different ones.
I saw the survey droid and thought my game got a little better, but if all they do is tell you what is on what planet, I won't be buying one, as I have the same abilities now without them.

Us Ahazi folk (and others on the servers that have them) can usually count on the DENet members stepping up to provide this information.
