Thread: Question on how everyone deals with customers...
Ill take back any droid I sell if its within a reasonable time period. Its not worth pissing off a future client because of crap that doesnt work that should. I will also tell them up front about what the droid is supposed to do. Ive lost sales that way, but I feel better about not screwing the person over.
That said, I've yet to take back a droid. Worse case, Id rather just destroy it. It's only materials, 1 or 2 wont break me. If I have them in my datapad Ill try to sell them for half price.
While climbing the DE tree, I also told clients they could turn their old droid back to me for credit towards a newer betterdroid when I was higher up the DE tree. Ive yet to have anyone take me up on that either.
I have replaced droids that don't work, like the first time I hit the storage module bug in a 2-1B or when droids forget they have crafting stations installed. Usually I replace the droid and tell them to keep the old one.
But if someone bought an R4 as in the situation above and complained that it runs from combat, I would tell them that the R4 is not a combat droid and suggest they buy a probot.
So, defective droid or a droid not working as described (maybe I installed the wrong chip or module during crafting) I will replace etc to make the customer happy. But if they buy the wrong droid then I don't once tamed.
