sorry to sound like a novice but how do you put thim into an R3?? Do detonators classify as combat modules?? As I'm writing this that makes complete sense to me now.. LOL
Is my asumption correct??

and is that true about a loaded R3 doing 50k damage to a turret? thats awesome... what was the rating? i thought they might be useful in base raids... maybe i will have to crank these out

the problem is that you still have to BUILD the droid so if someone wants to do the most damage they can with one of these they are gonna want an R3 Droid with 6 modules in it and as the Tolium on Eclipse is 1000 OQ last spawn its selling for 30cpu and it takes 480 reactive gas for 6 modules so you do the math. I'm getting 9 power with each module at 98% so I'll be damned if im gonna take a loss on the resources just cause they are a one time deal..... suck it up princess you wanna kill the jedi your chasing then pay the price

The cost is exactly why I don't make the R3 bomb droids. I sell R3 Med droids / Creature Harvest Droids for 75K easily, try and sell a R3 bomb droid for 60-65K and customersscream aboutthe price. What a waste of a hard to make chassis, then a full up droid that may not sell.
I just make the advanced MSE's with detonations anymore. Those are easy to make and I sell them for 6K apiece. Unless I get someone requesting the R3's and they are willing to pay the price, I just don't make them.

Tolium reactive gas has been a very rare spawn on my server. I sell them in a crate of 5 for 60k.
My det power is 37.
They are not flying off the shelves but they do sell.

I make Adv R3's with 58 Power, and those go for 58k, and I sell those easily. And my Adv Mice Droids go for almost 9k each, and those sell faster. Given the faact that only top of the line resources go into these that price is cheap.
Selling those resources individually would net me 20cpu easy, selling them in droids only gets me 12-15cpu, plus there is a chance of CF which does happen. If BH and smugglers want top end detonation droids they must pay for them.

on eclipse i buy crates of 10 mse det 38 mouse droids for 30k each thats 3k per mse
to me thats a fair price but 10k is kinda taking the mick

Its interesting that this thread is up. Must be good luck.
Like i said i sell for 60k per crate and someone bought 300k of det droids yesterday.
It doesnt matter wahat you price stuff for eventually someone will think its worth it and buy it.

I sell rate 38 MSE toasters for 85k a crate of 10
R3's at rate 56 are selling for 70k

Must be something in the water on the other servers. At 2200 and 4k a piece for MSE/ADV MSE, I haven't sold a single one in over a month and a half. I've even given them away outside starports just to increase awarness. My 51 det power r-3s are listed at 39k, and I've only sold one since pub 8. I know that BH's see them, because I have pretty decent probe/seeker sales. My only guess is that people don't care too much for them, at least on Kettemoor that is. The Tolium isn't that great, but its the best the server has ever spawned. I just don't get it sometimes......

Market it (ADV R3 with 6 det modules) as a Jedi Take-Down tool ... and you WILL get sales. Cause price is not an issue for those.
Jedi cant defend against those blasts and BH use it as a surprise to start a battle. And BH hunting groups use multiple droids so Jedi go down right at the beginning of the fight.
