Thread: The first 24 hours of the New Publish, how did it go for everyone?
I had all the parts ready to go as well. I spent about two weeks doing a manufacturing plan, put pre-measured backpacks of resources in each factory so I could log in, pull them out, make schematics, put them back in, and go. I did about 23 runs without any significant factory down time, as a result of planning.
I made 225 survey droids, 50 MSE bombs, and hand-crafted attack, maintenance, entertainer, and ranger-bots on demand. While I napped in the late afternoon, my main vendor sold out.
When I woke up, I went into the playback module hell of getting a bad schematic from a mostly-afk entertainer, then having issues crafting more schematics and synthesizers. I sat outside the Coronet cantina and crafted effects droids til I ran out of parts. I sold out of the MSE bombs that I had on hand within a minute of arriving there.
I probably only got tells from about forty or fifty separate people, but they all wanted to know the details so I did a lot of typing.
By the end of the night some really chatty guy walked up to me while I was wrestling with a big order for the playback R3s for a different customer.
Guy: So can you make ad barker droids?
Me: Yep, I have three.
Guy: How do I ignore them?
Me: (no response)
Guy: I hear the survey droids don't return stats. You guys got screwed!
Me: Millions of credits worth of screwed, baby!
(Everyone around snickers)
Guy: MSE droid did 400 action dmg on me in composite.
Me: (no response)
Guy: So neshura. What droid can't I live without? Let's see you SELL me on a new droid!
Me: Please just go. I'm so tired. I don't want to make any more droids. *breaks down crying*
Or something like that.
I had a great time, all in all.
DE forever!
But I love the new DE goodness. It's nice to finally get some good business!
DEs, all I can say is I'm very happy for you all. It's about kriffing time you got some love.
Enjoy this while it lasts. Hopefully, longer foryouthan the great mount goldrush of publish 3. I know from that experience that you'll treasure the memories even as you deal with tell hell and overflowing email inboxes. It's a wonderful time to bea DE.
Kollos, expect email from me for some orders!

dropped CH and went DE. DE is my first holo. Kinda feels like i jumped on the bandwagon at the wrong time. ohh well =)
You know things are turning around when CHs drop and go DE.
Even after making MDE and having a shop fully set up, it must have taken me two weeks to reeeeeeally get my ducks in order learning what was bugged and whatnot. Finally coming out with factory runs of popular droid configurations took another week. With all the new complexity, component and resource issues, I can't imagine a new MDE being able to meet demand for quite some time unless he/she already had loads of resources and sub-components already on hand.
All this great new love almost makes me want to go DE again.Almost ![]()
