on my vendor's stock I sell an r4 with
lvl6 med module
stimpack dispensor
food crafting station
since it only uses 3 module I am able to make these easily and quickly, marketing them to low level medics, at the price of 15k
I sometimes get this in my mail:
"WHY WONT MY DROID HEAL PEOPLE!?!"
it comes in the form of a /tell more often though.
entertainer droid:
'WHY WONT IT LET ME MIND BUFF OUTSIDE THE CANTINA?!"
Scout droid:
"WHY WONT IT HARVEST FOR ME?!"
combat droid:
"MAKE ME SOMETHING BETTER THAN THIS, I WILL PAY YOU"
they REALLY need to DUMB IT DOWN for theese peeps!
Doesn't matter how much you dumb it down - people will always have expectations and assumptions that the droid will fall short of. The best thing you can do is take some time with your customers so that they know exactly what they're getting. Perhaps email them an "owner's manual" that lists the specific features of their droid to get them started.
My point is that you can't completely blame the customer for not knowing how their droid works - a vast majority of players are clueless when it comes to droids. It's our responsibility as DEs to educate them.
Absolutely correct.

In context of the movies, yes it is. However, in this game, giving players abilities that they don't have to expend skill points for is unbalancing. Droids in SWG are meant as kind of a sidekick; a tool. They're not meant to replace skills, only to supplement them.
Also...
Musician Playback modules are for Novice Musician or higher.
Ent. FX module droids are for either Musicians or Dancers.
