Hi Sodan you old apple painter you


Yuletide is an amalgamation of 2 words Yule and a corruption of Tyde


Yule refers to a log (of wood) and Tyde is old English for time


So its the 'time to place the ceremonial Yule log on the houshold fire...otherwise known as Christmas these days but based on pre-Christian Pagan religions.


And btw I am every bit as frustrated as you are.
