Also a little known fact is that you can put stuff in the droid on your hotkey to call them. Hit the button once and it goes into your inventory, hit it a second time and you use it.
Very useful to avoid scans.

And the best thing about storage in droids.... you can have all their inventory windows open at once! Makes for a much more pleasant and efficient crafting session.
What I don't know (since I am a crafter not a fighter) is: whether or not a player loses whatever items they had stored in a droid if that droid is "destroyed" in combat? Anyone have first-hand knowledge of this? Thanx.

If it's incapped, no.

I can't say for sure about actual true destruction. When a combat droid I use grows close to this point, I stop trying to use it in combat, take the items out and build/use a new combat droid.

Respectfully,
Whats the difference between incapped and destroyed as far as droids are concerned?
Can a droid be destroyed in battle, or just through gradual "vitality" loss? or does vitality even affect it?
Can't a DE use a droid re-construction kit to re-build a destroyed droid? if so, are the items then intact?
AsI said, I'm a crafter with little combat knowledge, so sorry for all the clarifications, but customers need to be told.
