Thread: What's the quickest way to make DE?
Any of the powerups will do. Someone mentioned crafting kits, that's another good way to get up to Engineering III.
My friend recently had to get Business I - IV. He did it on personal harvesters and it took him less than 15 minutes. At that rate, it'd take about an hour to make Novice Droid Engineer.
Of course, this all hinges on having access to the resources to grind.
Cheers
It took me 2 months to hit master DE but I took 10 days off in the middle and refused to grind... that is soooo booring ...
Take your time and make droids, sell them, grow a customer base. Otherwise your some master DE noone knows or trusts and have no word of mouth to drive your shop. You will grow frustrated and quit the profession. I have seen thistoo many times already.... UNless of course your planing on being a DE for a guild and will have alot of ready-madecustomers.
This game should not be looked at as a sprint... it is a marathon ... this isn't super mario brothers ... there isn't a "next level"... and when the 250 skill points are assigned the game is prety much over ....

I forgot what I made to get to the point where I could make Reinforced Combat Staves, but that's what you want to use to grind your way up/through Master Artisan. It's only 2 resources and 2 slots, so it goes VERY quickly and provides 84 XPs a pop (in practice mode).
Once you make Novice Droid Engineer, grind MSE droids to get Blueprints I. Once you get Blueprints I, grind Manipulator Arm Package Sets to get to Blueprints II (provided you have Extrusive Ore). From there on out grind theAdvanced Droid Chassis.
MAPS is significantly faster from BP 1 to BP 2 than continuing to use the MSE Droid.
Powerups or Composite armor...
And master artisan isn't a must, but you'd be stupid to pass it up.
Well I suggest that before you try to become a DE you should see if you meet the racial, social and family requirements.
1. do you look like a baby harp seal (because the developers are beating the DE profession like one)
2. are you a red headed step child?
If you are none of the above then become a ninja creature handler, they are all over the galaxy. Just like in the movies.. u know... the one with..hmm

If you are not a master artisan then you will definately need the services of one (as I do). It may be worth taking it en-route to master DE just to stockpile components that DE's use a lot of even if you drop it later.
