protests have worked only once against SOE. Anyone recall the Wookie revolt ? They got their wookie armor real quick from that. Otherwise SOE just resorts to teleporting peeps out in middle of nowhere then banning accounts.


Also, it was suspected than on more than one server SOE created crafted goods and put them on the Bazaar to help ease demand for the first few weeks after the CU hit. Several players I know reported seeing some crafted goods with names that didnt seem to exist and some items had no name at all on them. I wouldnt put it past SOE to go to those tactics or even worse....NPC Vendors selling goods bleh. As unthinkable as that might have been 2 months ago, sadly it might be our reality. Cybernetics is a good example of something that clearly should have been ours to make and for Docs (they sure could use something to do) to implant.

I read that thread detailing every problem and yet the issues were ignored and it went live. Can someone please explain to me why we have a test center ? Or why do we even have forums to post reports on issues when they're obviously ignored ?


I honestly think I need to quit, this is giving me an ulcer

You are speaking of an older time with older devs.SOE hashad a change of staff and most of the devs now are EQ vetrans with no idea how the SWG system works, so they don't fix what is currently wrong and change what there they don't understand to what they know. Welcome to EQSWG!

The sad part about it is that now that it's gone live, it is unlikely to ever change by anything short of an entire Crafting revamp.


All the newer players who don't have the uber resources are loving the fact that they can now make the best droids without any effort, and its probably likely they they match or outnumber those DE's who have stuck with it and have the resources to make the quality products. Now that they've had a taste of crafting quality stuff, if it ever returned to the way it was previously there would be an outcry of "NERF!".

I'm pretty new to DE/SW yes....but...


I had been stockpiling resources sinceI started playing knowing one day I would have a second account crafter....I also inherited lyllyths resource stockpile when she left Bria....of which consisted of MANY very high quality good resources ( best tolium on Bria ever bring one o em =0 )


Now I find myself looking for spawns of whatever resource I need with the crappiest of stats....hopeing one day they will make stats matter...and I dont want to waste my good resources =/

I think the fact that the vets in the game know what they are talking and no one listens to them is worse than the game being dumbed down. We all ask for bugs to be fixed and system to be changed for the better (i.e. Only great resources make great items), but the Devs listen to the new players and put in Empire Day and special effects for Jedi. The next few Publishes should be solely bug fixes and bringing crafting to it's former self. The idea of NPC vendors comes closer to a reality and all the new player encorage that. Only veteran players understand the importance of a player based economy and that's a shame. SOE really needs to bring this game back up to higher standards for which we bought it, not bring it down for players for do not understand the importance of earning a title.

Part of this problem can be blamed on ourselves though. For a while, there was an outcry against factory runs and the mass harvesting of resources. The mindset was that it let people crank out bulk amounts with near bottomless resources.


While not everybody had a problem with this, there were enough that did, getting dev attention. It was talked about at the Corr meeting TK went too.


So it seems that the way they are going to "fix" this is by making resource hoarding useless. If resource qualities don't matter, then who cares if somebody has 2 million of the best copper and one person has 100k.


I totally think this is the wrong way to go, but it does fix the problem people used to complain about.
