Thread: master in 7 hours ...
I'll have to post my macro when I get home, but the one I used would merely finish everything for you after adding resources.
Open the tool, hit enter for the item to make, double click to enter items & hit the macro & it goes immediately to closing the windows & the timer starts on the cooking process. I ran 6 tools at a time and it was all pretty easy.
yeah but what do you do when you are already a master crafter and you can't reachyour DE schimatics! lol.
So for my macro I took out the part were it selects the schimi and i do that myself. These mouse droids are annoying to grind. I can't wait till blue prints 2, I am halfway through one.. takes foreeeeeeeeever. I made master tailor in a week. I grinded each night for maybe an hour tops getting one or two boxes each time. So that took about 6 or 7 hours and I think tailor is the easiest to grind. Lag can effect your macro speed. So i think realisticly DE would take 11 hours.
I could believe this.
I have a factory that makes Memory Modules and GP Modules by the crates. I have several thousand of them.
Now get an A$$ Load of Metal and fiberplast - which is not hard - and Make Seeker droids to your heart'scontent.
Honestly, I probably could not look another seeker in the eye, but I have managed to grind up to Master BP, and have intermediate dp. This may have taken 2 hours of straight grinding with 4 crafting tools ( I am slow...)
So good luck
PS if you need crates of GP and Memory modules and are on Lowca, look me up....

No way you can do a teir 4 box in 25 minutes. I ground through my last100k of xp in a little over 2 hours and that was doing nothing but crafting. That had given me time to get crafting down from an art to a science. I used a macro for a bit early in my DE career but then when I changed the hot key set up I can key faster than any macro.
Crafting with 5 tools I can crank out 10 Adv. Droid Frame Units per minute, at 462xp in practice mode that's 4620xp per minute.
Needing 105,600xp to get a fourth tier box and dividing by 4620xp per minutes it's broken down into 22.9 minutes to get the needed experience assuming no critical failures. I round up to 25 minutes to compensate for those failures.
These numbers are taken when I have no lag and all my stuff prepped
I have 5 individual macroes to select 5 individual tools preset with the schematic I grind and one macro to complete any of them in practice mode.
Selecting Macro: (5 seperate ones to correspond with different toolbar slots)
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/selectDraftSchematic 147;
Finishing Macro: Practice Mode
/nextcraftingstage;
/nextcraftingstage;
/nextcraftingstage;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/createPrototype;
ADF's all the way.
I did Master DE in a week with no macros. And yes it was carpal tunnel theatre. Luckily i had my guild behind me. And my master DE/Mayor is my second account. So my kungan killing first account fed 100's of k's to my DE. I was using 6 tools, again no macros, at the end. And i was buying steel like it was going out of style.
Makes me think about reattempting Master WS since its the same kind of grind starting with intermediate fireamrs one.
As to why the ADF? Simple 2 clicks, same material, 400xp. Rinse and repeat over and over again.I usually did it in the Cantina during slower times.

Where the heck do people find these things? I tried a couple of similar arguments to createPrototype, but obviously didn't hit on that one. Is this one of those things where somebody had to crack open some game files to discover it?
ya... i had 6 tools going and could get all of them going a few seconds before the first one finished. so not t much down time. i didn't actually clock how long it took me to level a 4th tier box. i just crafted till i maxed xp , 240,000. It didn't seem to take to long when i went at it though.
I'm curious what other people did to speed up the process, since, to my knowledge, there's no way to automate loading resources, and if you want to "practice" there's no way to automate the steps after that either. The ADFU takes 29 seconds in the tool, so to be able to keep 5-6 tools going means taking around five seconds per unit, and I'm curious how people achieve that.
Honestly, though, no matter how you manage it, if you can sit for that many hours of non-stop grinding through the entire tree, you don't need to be a Master DE. You need to be institutionalized.
This particular gem was cracked on SWGCraft.com, not sure where they figured it out but they had a host of people working on it from the morning the practice mode went in till they figured it out.
