Thread: This profession is a joke

The one problem I see with even the most viable droid cert system is that it would kill the non-CH pet market for BE's...
There have been several compromise solutions to this, which basically entail certs for some droids, and a "mini-profession" takes skill points for other combat droids.
Drashk put forth one compromise solution a few weeks back - but the devs said something about checkers, so I think that even that is dead.
Yeah I read that checkers post. Utility droids would be nice, if they had focused on that from the beginning. I mean, there are many more utlity droids in this timeline than combat droids. But it would be nice to see Droideka's rolling around too. What would be even more fun is kind of like a downed trade federation ship that drops parts for droideka's. But that's a whole other thing.
Where is that post of Drashk's anyways? I would like to read it and see how it works.
I do tire of those cutesy little ways TH explains things. He doesn't realise that his answer gets lost in the nonsense a lot of times.

I swear to god, the next person to use the movies as THE ONE SOURCE for Star Wars material should be killed.
I was never for the DH profession. But unfortunately, thanks to Ackis, CH's are now trolling the DE boards. You should thank him...
Like it or not, the movies are the only true Star Wars canon. This is according to ol' George himself.
And just because one DE trolls the CH boards (which I'm assuming you find unacceptable), it's ok for you to troll here? Two wrongs don't make a right.
That would probably work. If you want a Cl 20 droid you gotta spend points. Controlling the higher CL droids requires an entirely new profession and DE's remain DEs...
I wonder how this would be a problem seeing as how SP's are being spent...

I think it was shot down because of the coding time required.... not through any inherrent flaw in the proposal.
