Thread: Developers PLEASE Data Module will be nerfed again?...
Its almost certainly an issue of their inability to deal with items from a database standpoint. They've had DB issues from day one. They instituted "practice" experience for crafters and gave 'em the bonus not out of the goodness of their hearts, but simply to reduce the number of objects in the game.
They briefly enforced a stealth nerf on houses capacityfor the same reason. They've said as much.
The idea of CH's, each with dozens of droids nested deep in one another with THOUSANDS of creatures probably wakes Holo up at night in a cold sweat.
I think this is bull crap, I'm not even a CH but I do have fraction pets and fact is you can only use 3 at a tiem anyways infact you can only store 3 at a time in your main datapad.
If you apply that patch what's going to happen to all my other pets?
I don't think it's fair that my pets get desotryed becasue the Dev's want to nerff this game every other week, the more they take away from this game, the more and more this game is become un-fun.
This post is not to knock the Dev's, but it's to state how I feel about the issue. I don't feel I should lose my pets due to a nerff that I didn't ask for. Thats turey un-fair to me and the rest of the players.
That's about all I have to stay on this issue.

Data module for storing SCHEMATICS only?! That's plain weird.
All you crafters out there, how long to do you keep your schematics in your datapad?
That's right, from the time you make it till you reach your factory (usually less then 5 minutes).
And then it's gone.
Why on earth would we need MORE schematic space?
Data modules as from the "no-creature-patch" will be totally worthless.
Pfft, I say
regardless of whether it is not an exploit to have a massive amount of creatures in a droid (while I don't think its right I really don't care) it still poses the problem of infinite nested droids... It either had to go or they had to do some fairly major revamping in the way creatures are stored and handled. The problem they run in to is that if you change the storage size of creatures so you could only fit 1, maybe 2 in your droid datapad, that also means you can fit maybe 1 or 2 in your main datapad no matter what you skills. If they reduced the data capacity of the droids, they reduce there other functionality just as much. Laugh if you want but I use my droid on a constant basis for transporting and trading factory blueprints. since you cannot currently trade factory BP (or at least, couldn't last time I checked) this is the easiest and most effectient way to do this. If I want to transfer 5 or 10 BP, that should be an easy job for a mouse droid, droids are designed to carry large amounts of data. So now we know we can't increase creature data size, we can't reduce data size of the droid, and even if we could do this we would have the problem of infinite nested loops. as long as you can put a pet in a droid, you will have infinite loops.

Yes, Jave, thanks for giving me a reason to stay in the game. Just because I know how much it pisses you and Ultros off. That seems to beworth 15 bucks a month.
All this because you got upset and really annoying because a virtualy character was talking to a Dancer who you claim to be your fiance.
I like usin this droid when someone wants me to tame a pet or 2 for them so i toss my pets in the droid and tame em and bring em back out, I think it should be limited to like 5 tops or something or maybe keep it 150 but go by CL or something but its cramped beign a CH as is now and nice to have some place to store a pet for a few when u wanan help tame a pet. Limit it dont kill it.
Ever try dragging a backpack to another backpack? Thats how droids in droids ought to work. I would gladly give up the ability to keep droids in droids rather than lose out on my number 1 selling item, creature storage droids. Hey theres an idea, make a special module for holding creatures with its own special data limit, and dissallow droids in droids.
How about that?
Ur, sorry, I can exploit the *hell* out of pets in a datapad because pets grow and heal in datapads. Plus, storing pets in them is a *really* lousy game mechanic.
Personally, I'm all in favor of getting rid of data modules entirely, and making a new module - recreation module. Helps regen mind a little faster, maybe can help lower BF while in a camp or something.
On the plus side, there was a funny incidend with a CH who got upset with me when I wouldn't sell him a data droid. 10 minutes after I refused him, he said "Hah, I just paid someone else 20k to make one for me!" Then, about 30 minutes later, he said, "What does it mean, corpse of (Datamouse)?" I told him, and all I got back was a stream of profanity - he had, apparently, put all of his pets in there. All of them. And he'd just bought a bunch of expensive ones ![]()

Last I checked, you can't store waypoints in them anyway.
So the only data that could possibly be stored would be schematics, but in all honestly, I only have about 5 schematics, and that's basically because I forget to delete them. If the resources I used in the schematic never come back on the server why save them? I mean, I've never seen a resource a second time. It's not like I'm not able to remake the schematic easily.
great, great, i've lost two droids in a "Connection problem" had all togeather 40 animals i was gonna sell completely destroyed, and now, looks like i'm gonna loose the 20 i got yesterday and MY 4 pets i've stored on my little MSE, great, thanks DEV's, screw us all over again and again. I'd like to see how you expect to make a game fun with NO **edit** PLAYERS!!!!!!!
Kepp the Nerfing up Devs, soon you'll get what you want, a worthless game with no money coming in.
