but someone else will have to give details on if you put 5 in an advanced probot since that has bonus's for being used as a combat droid.

There are no built in bonuses for a probot. It is simply one of the chassis that can be programmed to attack even with no combat modules. It has different HAM values and damage ranges than the astromechs, but it doesnt get a kick just because its a Probot (like the MSE does for Detonation modules).

As per the stickies,

The Probotdoes indeed havean advantage, or "bonus" as far as damage output. An R3with a rating of 550 will not put out as much damage as a Probot with the same rating. If I'm not mistaken, the Probotalso attacks faster. The downside is the lower HAM. I didn't mention the DZ70 due to it's very low HAM.

Please read my entire original paragraph. I was trying to clarify that while a Probot has different capabilities in Combat use, it does not receive a specific "bonus's for being used as a combat droid" Unlike the MSE, which gets a bonus for being used as a Detonation droid. I am well aware the damage range is far higher than other combat capable models.

sorry you had trouble reading my english psikobunny, but by bonus i meant advantage of using a probot.

Example

ADV Probot w/ 500 combat rating

500 / 600 * 95 + 95 = 174

500 / 600 * 100 + 100 = 183

This droidwould have a damage range of about 174 - 183

Astromech droids:

CombatRating / 600 * 80 + 80 = MinimumDamage

CombatRating / 600 * 85 + 85 = MaximumDamage

Example

ADV R3 w/ 600 combat rating

600 / 600 * 80 + 80 = 160

600 / 600 * 85 + 85 = 170

This droid would have a damage range of about 160 - 170

as you can see a less rated probot does slightly more damage than an r3 with 6 combat modules compared to the probots 5, but as someone said it does have much less ham than a r3 will which is why so many people go for the r3 model.

I am looking to buy the best DZ70 comabt droid I can, but I've never used droids before. What stats should I look out for?

Thanks in advance

Well you can't really tell the stats on a droid by looking at them right now. Pretty stupid. Just look for something advertised with maxed Armor, Health, and Combat.

Or ask a DE on your server to build you. Just ask for Level 6 Droid Armor module or two Level 4 Droid Armor modules, a combat module and whatever else you want in the droid. If it is only going to be used for combat, fill the rest up with auto-repair. If you've got some skills in a medical realted profession, you could use a Medical Module.
