I like the new system. It fits the concept of a droid for everyone. Being more flexible in the configurations I think help the profession. You can max out a DZ70 now with one combat mod and one lvl 6 armour and still have one slot left over for whatever. You can make a CL 30 droid like that, and keep the price low or load up an R3 with a bunch of other modules to help out specific professions. If all the modules were working as intended you could tailor make a droid for scouts with trapping modules, a medic with a medical module and maybe a bunch of stim modules. A total battle bot with all auto repairs, etc., etc., etc., Maybe there will be a larger market with the way it works now.

If it is broken who knows how long it will take to fix it. I would like to see HAM working out a bit more along the lines of better resources creating more "HP's", but I can live with the way it is now.

And really these are only max CL 30 droids. If 80 is max they are still less than half as effective. Its not like they are game breakers or anything.

The thing about thinking like that is overall it means less droid sales for everybody. You have 5 droid slots, it should be our goal to get people to fill all 5 slots, not just one or two. Under what you said, you could make a DZ-70 max combat, and an R3 with pretty much everything somebody would want. 2 Droids that will never wear out or need replaced.

Now along another line, look at what level Droid is needed to make an Advanced Probot or a DZ70, then look at the crafting requirements. Both are combat droids, but the Probot is suppossed to be better. Under the old system, both droids got a combat bonus that made them better at fighting then droids that were not designed to be combatents. Isn't it silly that a droid that is easier to make should fight just as well?

The old system had choices, you could make a Tank droid that did low damage, but healed itself. Conversely, you could go all damage, or add med modules or whatever. With the new system, there is no choices at all. 1 Armor module, 1 Combat module, then whatever you want.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the fact that before all we saw were R3's with a few variations, yet this isn't the way to fix it. There should be bonuses for each chasis, for example, Surgical droids should make better Med Droids (duh,) and BLL should have more storage. Making all droid the same and weaker droids like a DZ70 fight just as good as the top Probot isn't the answer.

I'm not sure where you are seeing that 80 is the max for droids, level 30 is the best that is possible. CH's can't even control level 80 pets.
