Thread: 10ish DE questions: Since we have all the Dev focus now, what's the ETA on the answers?
Thanks, I look forward to it.

Give us a bit of time to get our ducks in a row and get some stuff up on the In Concept/ In Development boards for the next two publishes,
This isn't a bash anyone thread.
This is a "Heya, can we get some feedback on when we get the answers to our 10 questions?" thread.
Plain and simple.

That was my point above. I decided to be pithy instead of get into a big discussion about it. Drashk was here for what, like a week? I'm sorry, I'm not as impressed as many of people in here with what little I've seen. People seem to be rather band-wagon on the topic, opinions changing from one day to the next based on the popularity of whatever was said in the most recent thread he participated in. Correct me if I am wrong, but we haven't heard from him since TH announced DH was a no-go, correct? It would be nice to have an active corrispondent, especially with the questions the recent patch brought.
I'm not trying to pick on anyone here, but I really find thispost to be very ironic.I've been lurking for over a week now and have cut back on my posting because of everything that has been going on in my RL over the last two weeks and to just watch how threads unfold without my feedback. What I find ironic about thispost is that instead of me being commented on due to something that I posted, I'm being commented on because of something that I haven't posted.
Check the Tracker. I've made almost 2 dozen posts in the last two weeks. Wednesdayand Thursday of this week are the only two days thatI haven't posted on in the last two weeks.

Well, I'm not trying to pick on anyone here, but I am not sure we agree on the meaning of ironic.
I was commenting on the fact that I have not been especially impressed with what I have seen with some of the postings you have made (and have been downright offended once or twice), and I haven't seen any new postings (at least in the "hot" threads) to be impressed or not impressed by.
Yes, certainly real life is much more important, but "to just watch how threads unfold without my feedback" is not. We aren't your social experiment.
Glad to know that this was an important issue that you didn't want to watch unfold without your feedback and that RL is permitting you to participate - perhaps you can let us know in the future when we are worthy of your input again.

And...that's saying something.
I know that you dig SWG, droids and being a DE (despite the issues). I would highly suggest, to be honest, that you take a break from the forums and go kill things for awhile (or do some kind of uber factory run).
Really. I want the 'old' AudioOrgana back, to be honest.

I don't want to say that you're wrong from jumping all over Drashk, but.....you're wrong for jumping all over Drashk. Seriously. I'm not sure that I've seen you post anything except 'ranty' posts lately...and I am pretty sure that's not you.

Respectfully,
I am not jumping all over anyone. I'm simply stating what I have seen (and what I haven't). If I was jumping all over someone I'd be making lists of posts that specificly bothered me and posting it all over the DE forum.
I'm sorry if I am not concerned about your (or anyone else's) perception of me - I simply call it like I see it, and lately I haven't seen much to be positive about, especially when it comes to droids.
I simply would like to know when we should and should not expect to be getting information to/from our corrispondent - a perfectly reasonable request.

But there's one extrememly important and potentially game-breaking thing I think we all NEED to know!
Who are these "ducks", and why do they need to be in a row?!? Sounds like an Imperial plot to me!

Because what a correspondent says has more weight than what "average joe" players say they have the responsibility in public (on these forums) to limit their personal views in favor of what the community has clearly said they wanted. Simply put, it is bad form for a correspondent to be trying to "talk" it's player community to their personal way of thinking when the community made it's wishes clear long before the correspondent ever took office.
That said, I think Drashk's new plan, incorporating all three levels of droid use, would be a great soloution.

What is ironic is that I was taking the suggestion that you yourself made in the above quoted post.
I think that I have consistantly shown that everytimeI find out any informatoin that I can pass along to the DE community, from the DEVs, I will do so.I have even earned some flak from the DEVs becauseI mistakenly listed the Probot Artwork bug as new artwork before Publish 6 went Live.
Its the negative comments such as those that you have made that I have been trying to avoid, which is why that I have not posted much. In the last few weeks people have commented that I 'have power over peoples points of view' by stating my own opinion on a matter. Since most of what I have always written on this forum is my opinion, I have refrained from posting since I haven't recieved any 'official' information that I can pass along from the DEVs.

My suggestion was that you not try to talk players into your point of view, not that you should simply cease communicating. I felt that in several threads (especially the one when a CH came in ranting against DE's and you told him he had a "firm grasp on the situation") youmuddied this line. I'm sure you feel that you are "darned if you do, darned if you don't" - but going from one extreme to the other often isn't the best solution.
Believe it or not I sympathize with you, and all correspondents, in this manner. I'm sorry if you took my earlier comments as "stop posting" - I simply felt (and still feel) that a correspondent should err on the side of impartiality and not personal opinion.
If there is no new information there is no new information - butsome of us are really on the verge of abandoning this profession after half a year or more of participation because we have seen so little progress in that time and the "features" of at least the next publish (where we get those stinking combat modules, which were just about universally declared a bad idea) don't seem very promising. Some of us are hanging by a thread - and when important topics come up and we don't even hear "Sorry, I have no idea...they won't tell me" from you it makes the situation seem even more hopeless.
I apologize for my overly critical tone in this thread - but I see people putting on their "optimist" hats again and I see the cycle of disapointment beginning anew. I feel like I've been there-done that enough times that even my love of SWG and droids can't survive another round and your absence was magnifying that feeling.
Just keep us informed (even if it's, "Sorry guys, no new info this week") and let us know that you acknowledge the important discussions that are going on (and are forwarding the appropriate info to the Devs)and you will have my support. Asking for confirmation that this is going on may seem petty, but it's vitally important for morale and our personal decision making of staying with DE (and even SWG) or not.
