The only thing that is going to work is quitting the game and canceling your subscription. Otherwise, you can bitch all you want, SOE is still getting their $15/mo from you so they're happy. Moreover, as long as their subscriptions per week is a bigger number than their cancellations per week they're going to keep on doing exactly what they're doing and that means ignoring a class that they don't see as easily fixable or very popular (circular logic if you ask me though, we're not popular because we're broke. If they'd fix us, we'd have a higher number of players as DEs).

I chose to cancel my account. It is insulting to be expected to continue to pay a monthly fee when my desired profession is useless (and they know its useless).

On the bright side, you only have to keep reading my negative posts until 10/19/2003, when my account expires.

We have a resource imposed strike going on on Gorath. No duralloy, so no armor 4/5/6. So, no probots, no nothing that needs armor. Last time duralloy was minable on Gorath, August 28th. So every DE is out at this point, so not many droids being made.

Listen folks Sintrosi has us as close to being fixed since the game has been relased. Chill out a bit longer and we will get fixed. Do not rock the boat at this point.

I agree with people above. Strikes just dont work.

I would like to offer something more constructive to help in the mean time but I cancelled my account becasue I am tired of playing a game that is broken and refuse to let SOE take my money from me while I sit and wait hopefully that they fix this game. (That is what I have been doing the last 3 and a half months as it is and I just refuse to do it anymore.)

i got about 60k good duralloy on gorath in my basement right now. /evilgrin

Statistically there are many DEs. The Devs don't see DE as being under-staffed. For every Master DE who quits there are 3 novices working their way up.

Striking against making droids is sort of moot, as most people don't need them anymore anyway. Many bounty hunters are not bothering with the investigation line even though it is much better now than it was a month ago. They just don't see the point.

While that may be true, those same 3 novices will quit too once they see the grind vs reward of the DE profession.
