That may be the case. I've never made a stim of any sort, so I have no idea. My point was that you can generally get along without these new, specific resources. They're not as big of a burden as, say, duralloy steel.

Supposedly, and please don't hold this on me if it doesn't make it to live, but I heard that the advanced sub-components could be used in the lower level stims for better results. If I make a Stim B with advanced components and get twice as many charges then I'll use the advanced components if only to cut down on the number of stims I have to carry.

yes, thats in general how it works.
As for the fact that some of the materials we need are capped on whatever quality its based on, that is taken into account. I don't havea link to the exact post, but I remember runesaber or justg commenting on capped resource quality and experimentation on a post for weaponsmiths I think.

The 14may be rare, but they are not all new. Infact, there are only3 from your list that I have not already gathered... Keschel Extrusive ore, Ionite Intrusive ore and Pholokite Extrusive ore. I could be off by 1 though. We'll see.
Didn't mean new as never spawned, Ellewen, just new as we've never needed them before. It's going to catch a number of people I know by suprise despite the warnings I've sent them in game.
Jenden, you'll be happy to hear that while they are giving us that new experimentation system with this publish, it's getting yanked and the old system restored sometime later this week. We'll be back to easier experimentation soon. JustG posted that info earlier today on the following thread:
