There will never be any way to control what people sell thier products for, nor should there be in a free market economy. That said, I never sell droids below my cost of resources and cost of my time.
Kaelas you do make an excellent point, there is never an excuse to bash another DE in public.

Heh this is an old post, look at the dates. No wonder people are excited about MSE Droids.
Honestly though, I give away free Droids all the time.
-To my guildies, given millions away free.
-As advertizing, especially Entertainer Droids, I give away one once in a while to non-afk dancers who are keeping the profession. They are very happy, and ALWAYS tell people where they got it. Quite often, they send me business. Many people don't know how good Droids are, so don't bother. Only by having more Droid users will they learn.
-To get rid of non-perfect Droids. Sometimes I'll mess up and put in the wrong module, or really muck up the HAM on a CombatDroid. So i'll find a new player and give it to them. Be honest, say it's not the best, but it will be usefull to them. They will be happy and will probably buy any future Droids from you.
While I agree that DE's should play nice and most things should be priced around the same. There are time when giving out free droids or being cheaper can be acceptable.

This is very true, on most every server (I'm sure).

Dont go cut throat on each other people, there are very few of us as it is.
DEs, by comparison, make up a very small number of the playerbase. So, there's a lot of potential customers out there for all of us. No one should really need to give droids away.
The issue is helping those that haven't bought know why they should buy a droid. It may not be fun, but educating your client = selling to your client.

I refuse to put a lvl 6 medical module on anything less than an R3. lvl 6 storage, etc. You want quality pay for it, you want some cheap mouse droid, fine you'll get a 100 rating medical, lvl 4 storage or whatever but I absolutely refuse to waste my money on resources selling garbage because people are cheap. My R3's have storage, food crafter, medical rating: 100, stimpack, and barker. They are too cheap for that, I suggest they stay a medic. And what one guy said about undercutting price by 300 is totally true, one guy near my shop sells at exactly 300 credits under my prices. I still don't lower them, why? Because I still sell out. He needs to understand supply and demand. The lowest price isn't always the best thing for profit and a satisfied customer. Anyway, if you sell mouse droids with lvl 6 storage or lvl 6 med modules, you might as well forget ever having money. That, or sell them for 60% the price of the R3. People need them too much and you need to make all those memory/gp modules to keep up. My two credits...
