And we're not just talking "high" Cond and OQ, we're talking 950+ on both stats. That stuff is rarer than most rare resources, including Lidium. Furthermore, any Lidium will do - the quality of it is irrelevant.

This is why it is hard to talk about prices across servers, because there are so many variables like this. To give you an idea I have around 200k of Ebaoriexe Platinite Copper on Starsider. It is Conductivity 935 and Overall Quality of 975. While that isn't both stats above 950 they do average to 955, which is the important part.

The kicker though is that I'm not even using that copper, because I have a large store of even better copper than that, and I am certain that before it is all used up I will see another really good spawn.

let me correct that. the copper that spawned on our server was 998 conductivity, and 900 OQ. not quite 950/950, but close. it lets me get a probot or LE at 93% the maximum combat rating, and it's more than good enough to get a maxed outR3. you are correct that it is used for other things. but combat modules are the only thing (in DE anyway) that requires both, so I don't use it for much else. and quite frankly, until the combat droids start selling well, the combat modules aren't all that high a premium. my sales have gone up with the release of the patch, but it is my sales of utility droids that is going up. I've sold 8 custom order combat droids, and have sold 3 off my vendor. And that is it. I will raise the price of those modules if people start buying more, but until then, there's little chance my supply of the copper I am using is going to run out.

I don't know about anything else but this has all been a great help to me......but...

I know I will have to do a little more research of my own.....

I was once told to charge 5x the amount of resources used in an item.....I don't think that is a correct price though....

what about all the time spent either travelling then buying the resources from a vendor or harvesting it on your own....

even the time spent crafting the object.....

These are all things I guess is left up to the individual person......

thank you,

That's why "cpu" pricing schemes are usually 'bunk.

While the spreadshees figuring out the cost can be very useful for seeing what you are making/how much you are paying for the materials, etc., it is NOT the way to go about pricing droids.

Pricing by unit of resource would be like "destroy" combat missions being based exclusively on distance and not the level of the MOB. Yes, the distance is and should be part of determining the final payout, but it is certainly not the largest factor.

Once you start determining price by CPU you start down theevil road of short-changing yourself, and it's hard to recover. You are the master of an elite crafting profession, and you deserve to be compensated for your time and commitment to the profession.

*Add about 10-15k for the combat version of the droid.

Um, I just mastered recently, and am used to selling at a discount, to compete with droids that have a few more abilities/droid, etc.

However.

For a 1094HAM, 550CR, 2xL4 Armor, Adv Probot. I am now charging [EDIT].

Um, good whilickers! I see I cant make maxed combat mods wiothout my 'craft day' schematic. And, I have only now 2.some K of the sili in the brains schematic. So I revise my price for my limited probots I am able to make. not sure but at least 21k i guess. Not more than 27k. Please excuse my, um, stupidity. I have been in a whirl trying to get all these sub components ready for droid runs.

This is higher than I expected to charge. Both, because Im using limited quantity of Quality resource, And Because I have not seen any other prices that low.

Could I sell the resources for more, ? hmm, well I havnt added it up. Wouldnt be too surprised. My calculations include total resources which im getting better than 5c per. But Im not using uber resources where i dont have to for trhe end effect.

I am also thinking of making some Probots from mediocre resources for significant price reduction. For noobs, and frugal types. Who else needs these things but poor noobs and rich non combat types ? But so far my one factory is Way, swamped just trying to get my next combat model started. Im now grearing up for R3s. This has all taken Way longer than I have expected. And my resources are limited. So, If these sell too fast I may nudge the price up a bit. But sales have not been too much of a problem for me so far. (g) I tend to concentrate on quality product, and mercyfull pricing. Instead of Advertising and such.

Ok, lets see:

Probot Model 500 Combat Droid = 54k

Has 5 combat mods and 2 L6 Armor (40% Resist)

R3 Model 600 Combat Droid = 59k

Has 6 Combat mods and 2 L6 Armor (40% Resist)

LE Model 300 Combat Droid = 36k

Has 3 combat mods and 1 l6 armor (15% resist)

R2 Model 500 Combat Droids = 53k

Has 5 comabt mods and 2 L6 armor(40% resist)

Seekers = 1200 each /6k crate

Arakyds = 2k each /10k crate

I sell out very fast on my vendor. Most purchasers are buying 2 or 3 droids at a time aswell as batteries and repair units.

I charge a different price per cpu for each resource type. I only charge 5 for the generic, easy to acquire resources where quality doesn't matter. For the rare ones, I will charge as much as 30.

But I also put multipliers on the final cost calculation to account for other things like factory time, market demand, etc. (for example, ifa particular itemon my vendor is selling faster than I can make it, I raise the price untilit sells at a rate that enables me to keepit in stock while still having time to go out hunting with friends.

Oh, right now some 999 con and 999 oq copper has been on Chilastra for a few days... I have three BER 10s sucking it up on 68-71% spots.

What a beautiful spawn this is!! Nice timing too...threw down 11 Heavy 13s right away

Posting hear again to bring notice to my revelation that, I too can sometimes be a bit of a buffoon. I see the gread so thick, and the pprices so outrafeous at times. That I dont think. I just look at the little box on my spreadsheat without question or thinking.

Maxed combat mods are limited craft day only things on any server i think. Even getting close requires resources that have/will probly sell on thier own fir 50c/unit. So, I revise my price.

I will still try to be in the low end of the price range. High end of quality. I willl still try to produce a medium resorce affordable line for those who cant afford the maxed sorts.

Im only sort of guessing at my price here. But I think i'll charge oh 21k for the 99%HAM, Max CR, Max Resist(2xL4armor) Probots I have made. Then, put 2 x lev 6 armors in the rest of the limited amount i can make. with my limited resources that are needed by my schematic. And, sell those for 27k Even though the resists will not be any better . They will be trully maxed. in case the cap is ever changed and the droid still remembers what armor mods it has. Before it was max functionality for minimum price, my motive. But, now, with the darn limited amounts i can make and the worth of the resources themselves alone. I'll go Max, possible functionality, for a price that tries a little harder to reflect the rarity and high cost resources that lev 6 armor mods are a pitance of.

And I see now those who charge more, are justified in doing so. I dont do alot of biz. But I want to be thought of as a good deal.

[edit] I may still raise the price further as i see how things go. I doubt i'll lower them But I dont rule out anything.

MSE Droid 200cr
Adv MSE Droid 400cr
Seeker Droids 500cr (usally 10 pack)
DZ70 Droid 700cr
R5 Droid 800cr

Ok, so I am not a master droid engineer (0-0-1-1). I am a casual player that has been workin DE for about 8 months. Do not have the time (an houror so a night) to grind. Publish 7 has been very good for my business. Prior to therelease, I was averageing about 2 droids a week. Recently, I have been resocking the bazaar with four droids a night (mostly DZ70's). I have not figured out why because none of my droids have an actual combat module in them. My best guess is there are people who would buy a droid, but not at the kind of prices I have seen in this thread. If this turns out to be true, I will sell Advanced Probe Bots loaded for combat at about 2k each. But that is still many months off. Finally note, I figure my prices are about an 6 to 8 times mark up over the costs to get the resouces. I can easly cut my prices and still feel like I am getting my credits worth.

I was under the understanding that you could not see the quality or mod type in a droid in schamatic after it is crafted but before it is called for the first time..... (for lack of better terms)......

So these people are buying your "mostly DZ70's" most likely thinking they have combat mods in them........

your duping them......right.
