Here is one thing that may be why. I my self use the highest quality of resources in every componet just incase.

However many people simply do not...

And things like Droids brains motives and stuff may have an impact on how well the follow your commands.

Now their is no way for the any one to know this becuase once the build is make you cannot see what went in to your droid.

This is one reason why alot of DE will use crap... you can use crap... then put in good combat module and a lvl 4 crap armor module and the droid will list the same stats (the armor will show but will drop to 1217 after storying)

I have notices that many of the "unseen" things in droids make a differnce in game play... I am not saying this from just looking... I have noticed big differences in game play.

This is the reason I use great reasources and experimented on everypeice for my amazings to get my schematic.

I have even heard and read on boards here about why even experiment when it does not show.

Something to thing about

I am beginning to suspect your theories too.

A fellow guild member complained his droid was too slow. And he was on flat even ground at the time. I thought it was weird as my droids seem to be perfectly fine. It wasn't until I see my crafting droid track me from almost 100m away without getting lost or getting confused with buildings that I am now considering fully testing this theory out by bad crafting and good crafting components and see the effect it has on the droid based on the descriptions.

EG.

Motive - Movement

Brain - Comprehension

Sensor - Sight

Arms - Agility

Just an idea. When I get the chance I will simply have to check this out just to ease my mind.

Wouldnt it be nice if we were actually given information on what effects our modules and experimentation had, heck we are supposed to be experimenting, but we dont have a clue what effects our experiments have, what do we dopoke the item with a hydro spanner, and say "jobs a goodun"

A bit more infor would save a lot of work, It wasnt so long ago I was stacking 5 combatmodules to a droid assuming that was the most powerful way to build a droid, which of course it isnt, but illlogically enough auto repair units DO stack ???
