Thread: Very happy with seeker and arakyd charges!
Could you explain how you got 200 built in a factory? Unless you did them by hand...
I have only been able to do 198 in 2 runs.
why they cant do a pass through the database and update all the existing items amazes me.......
This is a "free market economy." I don't think saying that someone is being greedy is a valid statement... this is a capitalism, and ultimately a grand experiment in free market ideas.
Something is worth whatever someone will pay you for it. If you can sell them for 1 million a pop, go for it! If you only want to sell them for 2k a pop, do it!
If you can sell cheaper than someone else and still turn a profit on your time and resources, do it! Beat the competiton! Get rich! Buy a starship! Buy a player city! But, please don't insult your fellow players for playing the game the way they want to.
Amazing....
We BH's get the devs to help us out and we get nailed by the DE's with a price hike even though your resources per droid didn't increase.
God how I wish we had our droid terminals back.
So we complained because the missions payout barely if at all covered our expenses... Droids , round trip to endor and other expensive planets, shuttles etc.
Good to see we have charges now but those droids still get eaten up by space slugs and other not so nice things on endor.
You know right now a BH can make more doing novice level investigation because they don't use droids... those wanting to become masters go broke.
If you want a list of our expenses feel free to visit the BH boards anytime.
I'm glad we have a few DE's on our side.
Its _possible_ that the price hike is a temp measure to shift the pre-patch stock of these droids - I've had several BH's approach me for droids only to turn their noses up at the 'single use' variety - thus I can completely understand if the price increase on the new ones is just to 'encourage' the sale of the pre-patch lest overs.
Personally I wont be stocking any post-patch BH droids until my pre-patch stock has gone (and I've cut my price 50% to try and make this happen - as such I'm now making a loss on every BH droid I sell). If they still dont sell at this price (which wont suprise me) and I have to feed them to the Sarlacc then I doubt I'll bother to stock any of the new ones (I'm a Merchant not a DE) - I've been all for helping the BH's with droid prices as far as I am able, it doesnt appear however as if the BH's are returning that favour by taking up the pre-patch stock even at low prices. As such I'm not suprised that the prices are going up (to be fair until they go up more than 5/10 times (depending on the droid type), the BH is _still_ getting a better deal than the same number of single uses at the original price.
Can someone clarify this for me since I only made my first Arakryd last night andI am new to DE. I take it that each time one is used a charge is used up and that prior to yesterday's change that they were usable only once?
If the above is correct thenan increase in prices is justifiedsince they can now be used multiple times (otherwise DEs will be worse off since they will only sell a fraction of what they used to before the patch). If we do this then it would be fair tofactor into the price is the risk of the droid being destroyed before all it's charges are used up and so not giving a fullreturn on investment to the BH (e.g. if it is destroyed on it's first mission).
Canthe BH's give us an estimate of the chances of losing a droid in this way. It would thenbe possible to calculate a fair price based upon the average life expectancy of the droid rather than the formula: $charges x 200 (or whatever) which seems to be being applied.
Again, please correct me if my understamding of how this works is wrong.
